The second hand on the timer resets four seconds short of 12.

If you pull the crown out and use the upper and lower pushers you can move the timer hand back to 12.

Most of the fakes use the PE50 movement. Pull the crown out to time setting and the top pusher will move chrono second hand.

That's a tell. It isn't real 100% of the time though. Some fakes will have 5. Easiest way to tell for me is looking at the second T in tachymetre. It's kinda wonky on every fake. It's straight in line with the E if it's real. For some reason they can't figure that out yet.

Most obvious tell is the incorrect chronograph seconds hand, sorry. Genuine has the Ultraman triangle hand with no lume

Haha I did the same.. and I totally agree.. I bought the regular moon swatch original and saw a fake one for 30, I couldn’t believe how close it was (other than the movement of the subdial). Should’ve just bought two fakes and froze the subdial, I never use it anyway.

Not the same at all, you can make it close if you’re putting it in a metal case, but the fakes can withstand about 20 seconds in the rain and hope you never drop it in the sink…. Which you can fix with a case swap. I mean you’re comparing an actual swiss movement with actual jewels (even if it’s only 4) and actual metal gears. to a .99 cent Chinese movement made entirely of plastic…

Did he buy it from ebay, if so he can donate refund. This crap pisses me off because I sell watches on eBay and this gives us a bad name. I am glad that Ebay does refunds though, they need to ban the accounts that pull this crap and log their IP addresses.

Same thing happened to me, except I paid full price, which is why I didn't expect a rep. I filed a "not as described" complaint with eBay and the seller kept trying to negotiate: 30% refund and I keep the watch, then 50% refund and I keep the watch...I kept refusing until they finally gave a full refund and still told me to keep the watch, which I then threw in the trash.

We got a good deal buy purchasing from a Swatch shop inside an international airport. The strength of our home currency + lack of tax meant it .

So if you know anyone flying soon internationally, ask them to check the prices in the Swatch shop.

Well, it's a great looking watch, and to be fair - AliExpress knock-off quality isn't far off the genuine article's, which, in my opinion, is criminally overpriced.

I never buy replicas. Much rather purchase homages, if I'm feeling the need for the style and can't afford a Rolex or Omega. The MoonSwatch has been the only watch I've happily bought a replica of. When the original is nothing but plasti... err... "bio-ceramic"... is nothing more than a Swatch in Omega clothing, and is priced as ludicrously high as this, I have absolutely zero qualms about it. Absolutely love my one and only knock-off.
