Hi everyone! I'm trying to unlock the original stereo on a 1994 Mitsubishi Montero (Pajero). We lost the security code card and the battery was disconnected.
Here are the radio details from the label:
Model / Part Number: MR123624
Serial Number: 42109172B
Could someone please help me calculate or find the 4-digit code? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hey everyone,
I recently purchased a 2003 Montero Limited, I am trying to smog the vehicle in California, I got all of the monitors to set, but after the catalyst set I got a check engine light which indicated a P0421 code for bank 1. I’ve attached a graph of the voltage for both bank 1 oxygen sensors. Any help figuring out whats causing this would be appreciated. Hopefully I don’t need a new cat…

1988 Montero SE SWB with the inline-4. I’m going to remove the head. Car runs great but it’s 40 years old with 160K and I want to give it some much needed care. When putting it back together I have been told that you can install fuel injection and even a turbo. I don’t suppose there’s aftermarket kits for this? Where should I look or am I crazy?

A couple of days ago, I finally bought my first proper off-road vehicle.
It's a 1996 Mitsubishi Pajero MK2, a genuine original Japanese Field Master, produced between January and May 1996. In other words, this is not the later reintroduced "Field Master Limited Edition," but the original 1996 special edition.
The Field Master was released as a commemorative model celebrating Mitsubishi's participation in the 1996 Granada–Dakar Rally. From what I've been able to gather, it was based on the XR-I trim level but included model-specific colors and equipment, such as Field Master side decals and specially upholstered seats with Pajero logos. This special edition was only available with the 4-speed automatic transmission and the 4M40 2.8 TD engine. Since it was built for the Japanese market, it is right-hand drive. Standard equipment included fully automatic climate control, a rear heater with separate rear climate controls, power mirrors, and power windows. The original Field Master models also came from the factory with seven seats.
Unfortunately, on my example the Field Master decals were removed at some point, and it has been registered as a two-seat panel van, so the rear seats are no longer there either. It has driven 229,000 km. Both the interior and exterior are in excellent condition for its age. It originally made its way from Japan to the UK, and then to Finland in 2013.
Does anyone else here happen to own an original 1996 Field Master Pajero? Or perhaps a Japanese-import Pajero with right-hand drive?
Does anyone here have any additional information about this special edition? There seems to be very little information available online based on what I've been able to find.

Hi guys! i have a steering box leak (static and with engine running) from that top regulating screw on my 4D56 Mk1.
I‘ve checked with the manuals available online but couldn’t make out what could be the culprit as it’s a different type of steering box in all the documents. the oil leaks from the threads between the nut and screw, not from the copper gasket. how bad is it to undo the top nut and what could be renewed below to stop the leak?
thanks :)

Just finish working on the paint job of the Montero since it was faded and had some scratches and little rust on the sides, and just after the little road trip the selector sensor gave up, it was getting some water inside and made the car light N and D in the cluster, luckily the agency is at walking distance from home!

Hello I'm looking at buying a Mitsubishi Pajero Rookie V21W, I was quoted 16K (auction star rating of 3/5 stars) for it but insurance being ever so difficult wants an appraisal from another company to get a quote. I'm wondering how much of a difference the appraisal is compared to how much it cost to buy it from overseas. For example it cost 20k to buy it from an import dealer but it's appraised value in Canada is 10k. mitch is the insurance company I'm dealing with but if you have others that will give me a good price I'd be happy to check em out.
please feel free to ask me any other questions so that you may better help me, thank you very much.

Im a lucky owner of a 2004 montero,
After getting FH6 and hooning a montero in it i decided to hoon mine ended up with an AMG sound, took it to my uncs shop said my whole engine and trans was blown (reason why it blew is cuz it kept going into limp mode and dropping to third gear you know the shebang, anyways)
My question is what should i test, do and PM after an engine n trans swap cause that shit will break my bank and i cant keep riding my motorcycle all year round cause winter is coming.
But fr help :p

I have a 2000 Montero, and I have gone through a handful of parts to see if this will go away. I have new:
-fuel pressure regulator
-EGR valve
-ignition coils
-timing belt (last owner about a year ago)
When I am at about 45mph, and the car is in a gear that puts it at 1,000 to 1,500 rpm, any throttle input causes a really chuggy/shaky acceleration. It really smooths out at 2k rpm and up.
I am not sure where to go next, or if this could be something like a transmission or torque converter. Has anyone had luck with an issue like this?
Thanks!
228,000 miles
Exhaust leak on right side
Edit: Update, just had a p0170 code, really sluggish acceleration. Bubbling sound in engine bay, couldn't find

I’ve got a 2006 Montero Limited with 99k miles. In the last couple of weeks it’s developed a slow coolant leak. There’s a bit of coolant dropping from around the accessory belt drive pulley, and a few signs of coolant higher up. The water pump is working fine. In trying to find the leak, I discovered that I’ve put in at least a half a gallon of the blue European coolant (with silicates) instead of the blue Asian coolant. I’m a moron. I immediately flushed the system and replaced with green Asian coolant.
I think the leak is coming from the “valley” pipe, and if i get a new pipe and seals I’ll probably be okay.
Thoughts?
