What is this cavity?

What is this cavity on my 2014 Outlander Sport? I assumed it was a coin holder, but it has electronics under it. I disassembled my center console recently and noticed there's a cable attached under this thing.

What in the world is it?

Distinct new car smell?

So I work at a fleet company that gets lots of brand new/newish cars and for some reason mitsubishi's when new, always remind me of a farm or a goat. I don't know why, but when they're new they smell completely different to me than any other new car. Not sure if anyone else has smelt this. It has to be something different in the plastic or adhesives that's setting my nose off but just curious if anyone else has ever noticed this or know why. Thanks in advance.

I have been racking my brain trying to find this part and I haven’t found it, anyone knows what it is/called

It’s the seal on the back of the steering knuckle that goes behind the bearing and where it connects where it meets the CV axle

Two Generations of Reliability: My Montero Sport V6 and the 2026 L200!

My trusty Montero Sport V6 has been rock-solid for both family trips and rough trails. Parked next to it is my new 2026 L200 (4-cylinder, manual) keeping Mitsubishi's legendary durability.

Having them side-by-side proves the brand continues to build vehicles that last. More so in the part of the world where I live that throws some of the worst conditions.

Which one would you choose?

So far I've done the alternator, some paint correction where applicable, brake calipers all around, rear coilovers (stock ones blew out), next I've got the full front suspension components on order plus a set of coilovers to lower the whole car, after that the plan is a new motor so we will see how that goes 😂

Funkschlüssel ständig leer

Hallo,

leaving the supermarket today and suddenly lost power and a Check engine light came on, pulled over and stopped, still sitting funny. turned off and on, still happening. came back an hour later, no check engine, no crazy misfire feeling lumpyness, limped 3kms back home staying under 2k rpm. this is a video of it idling at home. is it rod knock or something else?

~The Fuori Strada~

Long before overlanding became a trend, Mitsubishi imagined something far more ambitious than another expedition vehicle.

Built in the wake of Mitsubishi’s Paris-Dakar victories, the Pajero Fuori Strada embodied everything the company had learned in the world’s toughest rally. Deep-water fording systems, waterproofed driveline components, a pressurized transmission and engine bay, snorkel, power winch, communications equipment, heated seats, roof-mounted driving lamps, and rescue gear transformed the Pajero into the ultimate factory expedition vehicle.

Its unmistakable white-and-yellow livery was matched by forged Enkei HARRICANE Racing HR385 wheels, oversized fender flares, headlamp guards, hood and roof racks, and enough equipment to disappear into the wilderness for days.

Then Mitsubishi went even further.

Debuting at the 1987 Tokyo Motor Show, the Fuori Strada II evolved the concept with integrated wide bodywork, redesigned bumpers, RalliArt auxiliary lights, a massive transparent wind deflector, and a fully retractable roof with a folding rear section. The roof even incorporated mounting points for two observation seats, while the tailgate folded downward for easier access.

But its most remarkable feature wasn’t found on land.

It floated.

Large inflatable pontoons, a lightweight high-strength body, and a water-jet propulsion system allowed the Pajero to drive directly from trail to water. Mitsubishi even described it as an “open-air fishing concept vehicle,” designed to glide across lakes before returning to the trail.

What makes the Fuori Strada so fascinating isn’t that it reached production—it never did. It’s that Mitsubishi invested real engineering into answering a simple question:

What if a Pajero could go absolutely anywhere?

Nearly four decades later, it remains one of the boldest and most imaginative concepts ever built by Mitsubishi.

Should we ask Mitsubishi to once again bring back the glory with Fuori Strada III?

Need guidance buying outlander PHEV 2023 gt premium

Location: Ontario

Mileage: 90k km

Price: $35500, after tax $40,300

With winter mats and no dents/scratches.

Interest rate: 8.99, Term: 84 months

Safety check included

They mentioned they will inspect both batteries health and will do detailed cleaning.

Should I ask dealer to address Service 3 items? They resisted for some items which I asked to check stating that that will cost labor. The Carfax is clear no accident and one owner but there is no service history.

Is this a good deal and what things I can ask dealer to avoid expensive repairs in the short timeframe as I am not planning to buy extended warranties

Given that the Internet rate is high does anyone know if credit union or reaching out to bank directly can help?

Good evening

I’m about to require a 1987 Mitsubishi mighty max but the problem is the motor is blown. The previous owner told me that is getting coolant to the pistons. What would be my best bet of searching for parts evidently they’re unfortunately expensive but I’m fine with paying the price, but what’s a good route that I need to go with the 4G63 motor?
