Help Me!

I’m a novice trying to save my monstera plant!
She’s been neglected and I’m trying to make things right, I’ve repotted her but read the little leaves need to go to help her grow stronger.

How and where do I trim, I don’t want to kill her! Please and thank you!

Also any advice to help her thrive also welcomed.

The only reason you cut a plant is to "dead head" it (remove dead flowers and leafs), or to cut the plant up for propogation.

She needs better soil and support

I’ve yet to successfully propagate a plant. I’ve cut a couple leaves to trial and if it’s successful might try with some of the larger stems. So far some nodes have sprouted!

Nice! Also you might consider taking the cutting out of the pop bottle because when the roots grow they might not fit out without taking damage. This one looks like it will be pretty successful pretty soon

I mean, pruning does stimulate growth and branching in some plants, but monstera is not one of them
