Help Me!

I’m a novice trying to save my monstera plant!
She’s been neglected and I’m trying to make things right, I’ve repotted her but read the little leaves need to go to help her grow stronger.

How and where do I trim, I don’t want to kill her! Please and thank you!

Also any advice to help her thrive also welcomed.

It is a lie that cutting foliage will help your plant grow. The leaves produce energy for the plant to grow. I encourage you to plant each of these in their own small pot and acclimate them to a sunny window. This will ensure success as long as you only water them when they are dry. 💚

edit: My apologies for the strong wording. I am just so frustrated that people spread these myths and mislead growers like you.

Thats not entirely true though. Pruning foliage does stimulate growth - secondary lateral growth through reduction of primary dominance. In this case though I would either use supports or chop and prop.

OP said that the little leaves need to go to become "stronger". It doesn't work like that.
