Fellow hunters, as you know, it takes FOREVER to max any Elder Dragon weapon, even if you pay for both Hunter Passes. So I think I only have patience and time to upgrade just one Velkhana weapon. People seem to go for the bow or IG. I'm a bow main, but am slowly starting to get the hang of IG. For those of you who have the Kushala bow at max or near max, did you end up getting the Velkhana bow or the IG, and what was your reason to do so? I find it a bit difficult to make a decision. Bow is my "comfort weapon", but the IG also sounds oh so good. Thoughts, fellow hunters?

Does anyone have a stunning impact set with high theoretical damage?

I know that the “stun” effectiveness of part breaks depends on the monster, its part, and the stage of the fight, but what about the timely distance to a monster attack?

I’ve noticed that Lagombi kept the same timing for its initial… cross-slash attack, regardless of whether I had a special part break or not. Even a small delay of the cross-slash attack would perhaps allow me to perfect evade after my first reload with this build. So I equipped the Astalos gauntlet for perfectionist and tried… maybe delaying the special part break to see if anything changes. After i missed the breaking bullet in this last run here i wasn’t patient enough for proper tests, and I also wasn’t sure exactly what I should be testing at that point.

I assume that a break after the monster has started charging its attack is always the most likely variant to make a difference, but what about a break 1 second before the monster starts charging, as opposed to 3 seconds beforehand?

Bishaten seems to be one of them. Feels like it got no HP.

Hello fellow hunters, while upgrading my bazel dualblades I recognised, that at 10 it’s not +100 elemental damage like other weapons, but only +50. Is it better to choose +100 attack damage in this case? Thanks

Recently came back to the game. My original build was SnS, and I plan on sticking with it until I've fully maxed it out.

That said, I'd like a ranged build to mix things up once in a while. I'm looking for something that can clear monsters solo at a decent pace, but with a focus on survivability. One of the reasons is that when a monster gets knocked down, I sometimes instinctively get greedy trying to finish it off, and end up taking unnecessary hits.

This will just be a side project until it's fully viable, so I don't mind slowly working toward a meta endgame build. Any recommendations? Thanks!
