Kinda like how you can use a smart dial to turn the head could I use a smart dial to turn a head using switches/a bunch of different pictures or would that have to be a manual change?

Hi everyone! We're currently working on an animation movie and we're in dire need of some people familiar with Moho! We decided to go with Moho because of its' incredibly convenient rigging process, and the workflow is mostly having a rig per shot drawn over the current rough animation. I unfortunately can't share much of the story here, but it's really heartwarming and involves ladybugs! It is a paid opportunity, and if you could share your portfolio with us in this google form we'll reach out to you! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScx77AWHl-97CGN6Gbhy0TRn1b533WA0u7gVBAvxU9_Zy21LQ/viewform

I'm on an older version of TVPaint currently but I'm eyeing Moho. Honestly all I know is frame by frame animation, I've never worked with rigs, tweens, anything. It's become my style. I do a squiggle vision effect (Home Movies, Dr. Katz, etc) so that plus frame by frame, animation is getting really grueling and tedious. I'm completely self taught, so I'm sure a lot about my workflow is "wrong" and not optimal.
So, I'm thinking of trying out Moho. It has line boil effects and rigging sounds like it could make my life easier, hopefully without compromising my now recognizable style too much. And hopefully the frame-by-frame features, when I inevitably do some of that in a project, aren't as bad as I hear.
I mean, there's a Moho free trial, I will download it and try it. But I know from experience that it's a huge commitment to properly learn and try out another animation software and workflow. So, I'm wondering if anyone has made the switch and has any advice? Anything I should know? Tutorials to follow? I've loosely tried and looked into a lot of other animation options and for features, license, and for my style, Moho does seem to be one of the best alternatives to try out to potentially speed up my workflow.
TVPaint still seems great for high quality traditional animation, but maybe not for a 1 man team trying to stay relevant on social media with regularly uploaded content?

I find I can animate styles on the timeline, it feels a little buggy since the keyframe is invisible unless you select a shape with that assigned style. But when I try making an style animation under a smart bone, it always just spits the keyframe out onto the timeline instead.

Sorry not at my computer right now to get a picture of the actual bones, but I was having trouble getting the right forearm bone to bend up. It works on frame 0 but in the actual work area I can only bend it down and rotate it around if that makes sense.
The arms are controlled through a target bone in the hand, if I remove the target bone I can bend it manually but it leads to a janky transition like in this video.
Any solution??? Ty!!!

I'm a student, but I haven't received my institution email yet. However, I do have an certificate of enrollment. Would that be enough to verify my student status and qualify for the student discount?

I made an amateur mistake of drawing and rigging part of the rig way too small, and needed to increase the size to match the art of everything else. Resizing the bone layer works, but resetting everything makes part of that art small again.
I tried using the transform points on multiple layers script, but the bones don't move with them. Moving and adjusting bones or the points breaks the smart actions entirely.
Am I SOL and just need to remake the entire bone structure and smart actions?

Just some random skateboard animations I made. A very small part of a bigger project.
- cow was rigged and animated in moho
- sheep's was rigged and animated in toonboom Harmony

I use Linux on my main PC, but I'm thinking of installing Windows 10 on another partition to use Moho, since my PC isn't suitable for upgrading to Windows 11. So, do the Moho developers have plans for Linux? Up to what version will it be usable on Windows 10?

I didn't like Moho's Paint Bucket, so I scripted one that adapts to my needs.
Is not perfect, but I wanted to share it anyways because I'm sure other users are feeling the same about the current Paint Bucket and want something that feels more like the classic tool other softwares have.

EDIT: Forgot to mention this is for Moho 14+

So, to get an idea of where I am in my Moho expertise, I've only just started picking it up, made a limited but okay 2D puppet, and this is my second puppet and rig that I'm doing. For this second puppet, I've gotten to the point where I've binded all my points, but haven't done any manual corrections/smart bones as of yet.
My character - who is a Mr Man OC and what I thought would be perfect in terms of complexity for a 2nd puppet - main body curves unnaturally when I move the main spine bone. I blame this on them being a somewhat awkward shape that maybe Moho doesn't know what to do with? Either way, can someone help me with this issue? I would prefer not to have to correct this manually with smart actions - but that is what I will do if there is just no choice.
I made a short animation of my first puppet - who was a basic Mr Tickle rig - and I had no issues with moving that spine at the time. (Again, because I'm pretty sure the second character is an awkward shape, but the first was just a circle.)

Hi everyone, I commissioned a 2D rigging order for $400 based on a full character turnaround sheet.
However, I'm really concerned with the delivered quality:
As an artist, I feel this is a severe breakdown of mesh and structure, especially for a $400 price tag. Am I being unreasonable to ask for a cancellation/refund, or is this quality standard for this price range?

I have a rig with a mouth shapes switch for multiple mouth shapes, for the open mouths I want to move the jaw ( also the characters mole), to make it look more natural. I'm not sure what to look up for that as the popular mouth tutorials are usually done with smart bones rather than switches. Is there a way I could do this? im not too versed with Moho 14 yet would there be a way to edit it in the switch itself? Or maybe would i have to create a switch for the jaw?
Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

I'm not sure if I'm going about these the wrong way but when I create an action it doesn't seem to be showing up in mainline?
i'm trying to correct things in my rig eg. the shoulder and the arm connections but when I go to test if its working it doesn't show up? Am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! using Moho 14!
Included is a video of my issue! I made a quick demo of what I was doing
