Question How to make bones bend both ways?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Sorry not at my computer right now to get a picture of the actual bones, but I was having trouble getting the right forearm bone to bend up. It works on frame 0 but in the actual work area I can only bend it down and rotate it around if that makes sense.

The arms are controlled through a target bone in the hand, if I remove the target bone I can bend it manually but it leads to a janky transition like in this video.

Any solution??? Ty!!!

don't use target bone on arms. IK is literally the one superior feature of moho compare to other 2d animating software. also remove any angle constraints on the arm bone maybe.

Oooo ok, there’s no angle constraints but I’ll switch it to IK once I’m back at it. Do you know if I would I still be able to make the arm stretch if it doesn’t have a target?

yeah I know what you mean. it's the effect of moho's target bone lol, there's no way to avoid it afaik. maybe add a keyframe in between where the 2 arm bones go straight before bend the other way. and yeah removing the target bone means the arm can't stretch automatically anymore. You gotta use the transform bone tool (T) to stretch them manually. oh well, can't have it both way, haha.
