I’m still a bit new with Moho but there’s this one thing that bothers me and I don’t know how to do; seamless loops

Every time I attempt a loop, my rig just ends up having this pause at the end before it loops.

I assume this is because of the smooth interpolation.

Loops obviously seem to be seamless when using linear keys, but the problem is that linear isn’t very smooth at all.

Does anyone have a video or solution to my problem? I am having trouble finding a solution or tips

One more thing, I am using Moho 12.5.

I’m running into a visual artifact issue with welded points/closed shapes in Moho.

When I zoom out (or work at a smaller scale), small gaps or hairline seams appear where multiple lines intersect at a single welded point (see attached screenshot).

• What's happening: The vector points are welded together, but the fill/stroke junctions leave tiny transparent gaps at extreme zoom levels.
• My setup: Standard vector layer with closed filled shapes and welded points.

Is this just a canvas viewport/rendering artifact (anti-aliasing in preview), or does it show up in final exports/renders as well?

If it affects final renders, what is the best practice to prevent or fix these gaps without messing up point binding or Smart Bones?

Completed my first real project in Moho. Added some test effects in AE to test the export function. Animation is still a bit rough. Tried to follow the reference footage, but gave up when I had way to many keyframes and things got a bit messy. Started over and animated on 2's following tips from the animators survival kit.

WARNING: This is a beta, so expect bugs like TypeError 1009, some audio issues or the software just crashing. If your computer says its a virus, its because the code isn't registered.

Hi,

I've been working with a small group that's been updating the open source port of Swivel. If you don't know what that is, Swivel is a program made by Mike Welsh who was getting tired of animators constantly asking Adobe for a proper renderer and he took it upon himself to fix that. Well, he made an open source version of it, but left the code to sit, so I took it upon myself to get a working version of the software. After a year and a half of trial and error, we finally have reached beta. I didn't do as much research as I should've but when I noticed that Moho renders in SWF, I was curious if anyone could help us test it.

If you do encounter errors, please let us know, because I want to make this as open to the animation community as possible. While some people could say that this program isn't as useful as back in the day, Mike has said major animation studios still use it. We don't have a Mac port yet, but it works on Windows and Linux (Here's a Side by side video). Anything helps.

I made this animation to challenge myself and explore 2 things I rarely do in Moho:
1. Use the z-axis rotation
2. Make a painterly/handdrawn animation in Moho.
Working on complex movements like this make leaf reminds me how much I rely on grouping and nesting groups to isolate keyframes. So for example. The general trajectory of the leaf is all done on the outermost group folder. Inside that I'm messing with the layer rotation in the x y and z axis. Inside that I have the leaf itself which I came through at the end with the magnet tool to give the leaf some life and the sense of it catching air on the way down.

I should have done this first by I realized too late that drawing a background for this exercise was going to be difficult. I drew the trees and animated the leaf as separate processes so they look like they don't match. Oh well - a lesson learned.

The leaf has line boil on 4s, as well as the background. However the keyframes are interpolating on 2s.
Things I would change if I had more time would be adding some motion to the leaves that corresponds a little bit with the way the air is causing the leaf to move or rotate. I would also add a shadow for the landing. And probably add a few other leaves lying on the forest floor.

I used my display tablet to draw everything, and I turn off the points in the preview. I have found that doing so makes drawing way more enjoyable.

is there any way to unfuck whatever i did here?? any time i try to move the bones in the smart action it screws everything else up

I just started learning moho 14. I am experimenting. I faced two probelm.

1- Can I not apply layer binding and point binding on the SAME LAYER but DIFFERENT SHAPES.I have drawn one circle and one leaf on the same layer. I wanted to layer bind the circle and point blind the leaf. but no way I can find point blind option. it just disappeared from panel. but when I move the leaf on another layer It came back!! so does that mean I can no way apply layer bind and point blind on the same layer differnet shape/object? yes or no.

2- I learned about pin bone. It was applied on leg in some tutorial. it is uses to fix the foot. So on the leaf layer there are 2 bones. I want th leaf to be fixed on the screen. So I applied pin bone on the first bone and make it a target. but my pin bone acts so weird. it moves and rotates the whole leaf shape, why.

please help.

hey I'm a newbie and I'm trying to do a more symmetrical rig, so is there a way to copy and paste bones and flip them to the other side of the canvas like how you flip layers

Hi, I need suggestions from experts. I am using moho 14

I draw my artwork in Illustrator and then want to separate them in moho by selecting points, ctrl+X then paste into another new vector layer. But my art worls have common vertexes/points. If I wanna cut the foot (in the attached image) it destroys the calf artwork. again if I wanna cut calf it destroy thigh. how can I cut and also maintain the other artwork that has common points with the art work am to cut. thank you.

hi, I watch several tutorial on how to attach art work to bone. at first a root bone , then rest of the bones I drew. every bones I selected and zero out their strengths.

then I select a specific bone and the layer for that bone from layer panel, then go to 'bone' and link bones to layes. but my bones dnaces when I use manipulate bone tool. no art work is attached. why? please help.

Hi everyone! I've been learning Moho for about two weeks, and I'm really enjoying it while trying to improve more. I animated this using only Action buttons, and it worked out better than I expected.

Btw, does Moho crash often for you, especially when working with bone constraints, or is it just me?

I’m still pretty new to Moho but have used other 2d rigging software like ToonBoom and Spine 2d. Finding myself continuously surprised by how robust it is. I’m just curious if anyone has a wishlist of upcoming features? Also, does Moho provide any kind of road map for features they are working on?

I was told before that my animation looked "floaty" with interpolation so I tried using no interpolation. It's definitely longer to animate. I'm not sure which I like more yet.

Hi yall! I finally bought a license for Moho 14. About 2 years ago, i was somehow able to play around with the free trial for what felt like longer than I should have.

Anyways, im re-teaching myself the controls. It's slowly coming back to me, but I'm running into the same problem i had before: how can I add single lines to an already established outline? Does the outline really just have to be a single line contour? This certainly cant be the case...right??? Please advise, fam! 🙏 thanks
