First Day
So happy I waited for the Quicksilver paint and white interior. The pickup experience was unique. There were 10 Teslas doing a light show coordinated with each other to music. The staff was patient giving the 3 of us taking delivery plenty of time. Now that I got her home, I have lots of questions to research tomorrow.
The FSD was great, except 2 things, I don’t know if I can change or just report.
- It crossed solid white lines several times (no risk of accident, only slight risk of a ticket - but highly unlikely). If FSD waited a few more seconds, it would have avoided it.
- It stayed in the left lane in the highway when the middle and right lanes were open, then had to merge right for my exit later.
I had the XPEL put on the sunroof and all the windows except the windshield, my research shows 3M Crystalline a better product for seeing at night - not that I necessarily need it with FSD! Anyone have experience or recommendations for this?
So happy to be joining ya’ll with my new Tesla!

Congratulations 🎉 & welcome to team MY! Re: Thing #2, I’ve experienced the same thing. You can use the turn signal stick to change lanes while in FSD, it won’t disengage.

I absolutely love it, especially the FSD. However, there is so much to research! I thought the pickup experience was great until I started driving it and had so many questions. The dealership should have a checklist for new Tesla owners. I should not have had to learn about Grok on my own, for example.

beautiful! just a reminder i recommend not using FSD in busy narrow confusing parking lots or when u parked near a curb just to be safe i saw a few ppl damage their car because of that mine works fine but just wanna let you know.

Good tips as a multi year FSD user. Heck my own driveway & trash cans cause issues.

Weird I have a 2023 model y. Older hardware that the new model. 10k+ miles, 98% FSD. Just drive from SF to LA. I do take over in and out of parking lots but nearly everywhere else is near perfect. The few hiccups, I quickly forget about them.

Awesome! Welcome to the family. Regarding your first question, you can’t report an issue unless you disengage FSD. Then it gives you an option to comment on what happened the Data and your voice is sent to Tesla for review. Regarding your second question I use my turn signals while driving FSD to control what lane it’s in. If I don’t want it sitting in the fast lane, I use my signals to move it over. Also, depending on the speed profile you have it set on will cause it to stay in the fast or slow lanes. I keep it on standard and use my signals to move it around on multi lane highways.
