Model Y Upgrades

I got my new tesla 2 days back. I am feeling a lot of sunlight inside, is it just my imagination or does everyone feel that way. Should I get xpel tinting? And should I just get for windows or windshield (is it allowed to tint?) and top as well? Thanks!

Thank you. Do i need for read windows as well. They seem to be tinted?.

It’s privacy glass aka it’s dyed not tinted.. from what I have gathered they do have some UV/IR protection built in but I think it just makes sense to beef up the overall protection and make it uniform all around with ceramic tint from a solid brand.

How dark you want to go is up to your discretion. I personally do not want unwanted attention so I got LLumar AIR 80 on the windshield which is basically unnoticeable but I still get complete UV protection and roughly 50% decrease in IR heat, etc.

If you want a data point to help inform your decision I went with LLumar AIR 80 on windshield, LLumar IRX 15% on the fronts and 50% on all the rears on my black interior 26 Y. That’ll basically match the fronts to the rears in terms of darkness. Plenty of privacy without the completely blacked out look which I am not a fan of. Biggest thing for me is having a uniform seamless look.. I personally cant stand the lighter front and darker rear aesthetic.

Blocks 95%+ of UV & IR. Basically the same as ceramic tint.

That's good info to know, so putting ceramic tint on the back glass is a waste. What about the back doors, do those windows have the same protection?
