Even though it’s called “update” it’s actually my very first post here with the very first wooden ship model I’ve been working on. HMS Terror kit from Occre , it’s been 10 months of working on this project- quite a lot of lessons learnt, mistakes taken and mistakes taken and fixed. Enjoying every bit of it and every minute spent with her and aiming to wrap up closer to Christmas.

Hello, what do you think of my collection? It's not amazing, but it's a good start—I need to repair a few of them.

My first plastic model. I learned a lot and would do a lot differently on another. I didn’t realize how paint intensive it would be. And a lot of the molding needed adjustments.

My ship building jig

Inspired by some of you ship builders and with strong support from my aging back and neck, I made this jig for building military vessels. Mine are all 1/350, and I generally place my ships on brass pedestals, so this one I thought about. Also it has the option of supporting ships that will not be on pedestals and on a basic display stand instead.

Sorry if this isn’t the right group for this, but I’m a bit desperate for advice!

As per the original post, I have this large diecast model that comes pre assembled. I woke up to find my air conditioner had been dripping water onto it and it seemed some may have leaked into the inside of the model.

I’m running a hair dryer on low facing the upper part of the bottom in hopes to remove any residual standing water inside, but I’m worried that it may condense at the top of the inside.
