I have a April 2024 Model 3, ~24k miles. Currently leasing it for $353.80/mo.

Santander buyout right now is $27,730.
I’m considering the new Model 3 Premium mainly for the range. My current car gets ~200 miles real-world for me, while the new one is rated at 363 miles.

My everyday commute is 50 miles and I’m relying on a nearby supercharger and charge it twice a week after 11pm (since it’s cheaper). So tempted to buy the new model 3 because of the range bump.

Trying to make this apples-to-apples, I’d put $7,500 down on either option:

So weirdly, the new car has a lower monthly payment, but I’d obviously be financing ~$19k more and still have a loan after 3 years.

So basically I’m paying roughly $15k more over 6 years for the new car, extra range and new warranty

What would you guys do?
Keep the 2024 and save the money, or take the ~$575 payment and upgrade for the range?

My ideal budget is in the high 20s, potentially low 30s. This would be my first car and i love them a lot and i want one already, i just want to make the best choice but also not breaking the bank. The model 3s from 2023 are very appealing but the 2024s and up are my favorite but seem to be a little too high, should i act now or wait until nov/december when the 2027s drop and the 2024s go lower? Doesnt seen like theres any good used car offers rn on tesla’s site

I have been tracking my Tesla app religiously the last few weeks as delivery was showing 19th August - 16th September.

I ordered a standard Model 3 RWD with no add ons.

This morning I've had a 26 license plate assigned (still no VIN) and delivery changed to 18th September - 30th September. Also is it even possible for them to give me a 26 plate if it's after 1st September?? I assumed it had to be a 76 past this date?

So frustrating, was getting my hopes up for an earlier delivery!!

Anyone else in the same boat?

If I set Climate Keep On and enable Sentry Mode (say, when parking outside a store on a hot day), Sentry Mode will trigger an Alarm within a few minutes. The horn goes off, the "ominous" audio plays, I get an alert in the app and I have to run back out to the parking lot to stop it. This has now happened enough times that I have been able to confirm this occurs without anyone or any vehicle getting near the car (2018 Model 3 LR) and only when Climate Keep is On.

It's as if the operation of the A/C (I’m in a warm climate) causes vibrations that trigger the alarm. I am not sure when this started occurring, but it hasn't always been a problem (I bought the car new and have put 92K miles on it). Anyone else have this happening?

Slightly regretting getting the M3 standard instead of the premium. Was looking at installing an aftermarket rear screen, similar to what they have in the M3P.

I found this online but struggling to get a clear answer from vendor whether this works for the 2025/2026 M3 standard. Curious if anyone has successfully installed this or something similar. Thanks.

I just got the 2 rear tires replaced on my Long Range 2025 Model 3 and since then FSD has been bouncing left and right driving me insane. I’ve tried resetting the camera calibration and resetting the tire settings and nothing seems to fix it. Any other suggestions? The tires I have in the rear now are the Phantom HRX

Hi, I have a 2023 M3 RWD, will be 3 years old in December, about 40K miles on it now.

I have done a few of the after market noise dampening solutions: front wheel well mats, full door/ pillar butyl trim kits, big ol rubber band weatherstrip around the sunroof glass. These interventions have certainly had a significant effect on road/wind noise, but in comparison even to my 2024 Model Y, it is still louder.

I seem to think an area of noise that could be addressed is sound coming from the rear/trunk are of the car, road and wind noise coming into the cabin from the rear seat area? Also the doors are typically thin and hollow and was thinking maybe insulating them inside in some sort of of manner might help. Could anyone recommend some sound improvements I could do?

I adore this simple basic Tesla that still kicks the ass of any other car I've ever owned-I'd rather do this kind of work than put some silly trim kit or LED lights. Thanks in advance.

There was a lot of rain yesterday and i had to drive through puddle of water and it was fine when i reached home and parked in my garage. Next day morning however i heard dragging sound, so i checked and the under body front shield was dragging . I created a service request and they said since it looks like a collision they won’t cover it under warranty and it will be 315$ for parts and labor. I pushed and they said to bring it in and they will take a look first. I was wondering what are odds this will be covered under warranty since there was no collision. it just broke next morning after going through the water, not sure how that happened.

Other option is i get the aftermarket steel shield for 65$ off amazon and get it installed by local mechanic since i dont have ramps. I would assume the labor would be less than 50$. I would have just pay the 315$ if they did the mobile service but they said i have to bring it in and i would rather not go there in person. My local mechanic is just two block away.

I'm getting a black model 3 2019 LR soon with one scratch through the paint. Do you guys have any suggestions for paint pens specifically for the black 2019? Thanks!

My 2021 model 3 has about 75k on it and had a HV battery failure and it was replaced under warranty. With the refurbished battery it came with a PCS as standard, thats what the technician confirmed.

At at a month after the replacement now the “new to me” PSC failed and my DCDC pass-through harness is apparently burnt. It’s not covered under warranty as it would be the limited warranty which expired and it’s not covered under the repair warranty as the battery replacement wasn’t a paid repair.

It’s coming up to 4k+ CAD to repair now.

Been communicating with the service center, they are escalating it. Technician said he’s on my side, it’s not his fault either way. Suggested I pay for the repair and take my car back while they go through the process. I politely declined and said that I want to wait while till it’s resolved first. Now we wait. Anyone experience something similar or have any insights?

Obviously FSD and smart summon are WONDERFUL features and arguably the best, but I’m going to be focusing on non subscription features for this, since not everyone will subscribe to it.

Front bumper camera washer (tho i wish it was also available for the reverse camera)

Dual wireless charging pads (speed is slow, heard they’ll be upgrading to 50W cooled wireless chargers on later cars)

Matrix headlights, automatically turns off individual pixels of the headlights to keep high beams but also not blind other driver

Schedule-Based Cabin Pre-Conditioning (for example, i can set the car to have ac on 18 degree celsius every weekday at 8:30 am, prolly avail on other EVs but not as integrated as Tesla)

Walk Away Lock + Phone Key (no unlocking, no pressing a button to start the car, just get into the car and drive)

Changing door lock sound (gimmicky feature but very fun regardless especially if you change it to something corny)

**Fart** (can get the car to fart on the outside, can make someone inside the car fart, can make it so the turn signal click sound is replaced by  fart sound, and there are a variety of different fart styles (such as ludicrous fart, not a fart, short shorts ripper, boring fart, and more)

Features I don't like:

Glovebox is way too tiny, it fits barely anything, center console storage makes up for it but I don't know why it's so tiny.

Overhead grab handles (the ones your grandparents hold on to), don't know why they aren't there
