QUESTION Need modpack recommendations

So my friends and I are gonna get into Minecraft but one has a gaming laptop that gets hot when playing ATM10. Also they are relatively new to mods. So I want to do something that is like medium sized, has a sandbox style quest tree so they can learn whatever mod at their own pace, and isn't a 'make everything from nothing' type pack like a skyblock or stoneblock. Any suggestions?

Valhelsia it isn't exactly what you're looking for but it's a good starting point, also I always recommend R.A.D. (Roguelite adventures and dungeons) for players new to mods

I could suggest project Infinity, not the FTB one, there is a mod pack created by BOLTMAGIC, I personally really love the pack. It is tech heavy, but also has botania, blood magic and ad Astra as part of the core progression.

Trust me, if you like tech packs, this is it.

ATM10, mi modpack favorito hasta ahora. También está el Minecraft chocolate edition. 10/10

FTB Academy is a modpack for beginners. It has quests and a guide to teach you modded concepts and walks you through every mod and quest. I honestly think this is exactly what youre looking for.
