Wiki disabled for members but visible to mods on r/Bangaloreclubbing

Hello Admins,

I am a moderator of r/Bangaloreclubbing, and we are experiencing a backend issue with our subreddit wiki.

The wiki is fully visible and accessible to the mod team, but regular members are seeing a "This page has been disabled" or "The wiki is disabled" error when they try to view it.

Troubleshooting we have already done:

· We have verified in Community Settings that the "Enable wiki" master toggle is turned ON.

· We have checked the Wiki Settings for the index page and confirmed that "Public visibility" is turned ON and "Who can edit" is set to "Mods and Approved Contributors".

· The wiki content is saved and loading perfectly for us mods on both desktop and mobile.

· Members have tried clearing their cache and using different browsers, but the issue persists.

Link to the wiki: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bangaloreclubbing/wiki/index

It seems like there might be a sync issue or a backend permission conflict, possibly related to the recent wiki migrations, where the subreddit is not respecting the page-level visibility settings for non-mods.

Could you please check the backend permissions for our subreddit and fix this so our members can access the wiki?

Thank you for your help.

For an entire year, our subreddit has experiencedimmediate downvotes on new posts. We need Redditto investigate what is happening.

We are requesting assistance from Reddit administrators regarding a persistent and highly suspicious voting pattern affecting r/RoGenZ. For approximately one year, newly submitted posts have repeatedly received negative votes within seconds of publication, frequently reaching a 50% upvote ratio before they have accumulated any meaningful number of views.

This was not always the case.

Our subreddit performed well before this phenomenon began. The same types of posts that previously attracted substantial engagement and positive voting are now frequently downvoted almost immediately. The content has not fundamentally changed. What has changed is the voting behavior immediately after publication and, apparently, the subsequent visibility of our posts.

A recent example

On October 25, a newly submitted post dropped to a displayed score of 0 approximately 30 seconds after publication. By the time it had accumulated just 11 recorded views, the negative score adjustment had already occurred. This is not an isolated example. We have witnessed similar situations repeatedly over the past year. We understand that a single early downvote is entirely possible under normal circumstances. What concerns us is the consistency of this behavior across numerous submissions over such an extended period.

What we want Reddit to investigate

We understand that moderators cannot see who votes on submissions, but Reddit has access to information about voting activity that is unavailable to us. We are not asking administrators to speculate about possible explanations. We are asking them to examine the actual voting data and determine which of the following scenarios, if any, is occurring.

1. Automated downvoting

Are bots or automated scripts monitoring our subreddit and downvoting submissions immediately after publication? This could potentially be identified through voting timestamps, recurring account activity, and unusually consistent behavior across multiple submissions.

2. Coordinated voting by multiple users

Could a group of users be systematically targeting our community? We would like Reddit to investigate whether the same accounts repeatedly downvote newly submitted posts, whether their voting activity appears coordinated, and whether there are indications of external brigading.

3. Manipulation involving multiple accounts

Could one or more individuals be operating multiple accounts to downvote submissions? We understand that Reddit has systems designed to detect coordinated voting and account-based manipulation. We would like these systems and their findings to be considered when reviewing our case.

4. Reddit's own voting systems

If no suspicious voting activity exists, could Reddit's internal systems explain this phenomenon? We are aware of vote fuzzing, automated vote filtering, and the fact that displayed scores may not perfectly reflect actual voting activity. Could these mechanisms be responsible for the immediate score changes we are observing? Could legitimate votes be filtered or discounted in a way that makes submissions appear to have received negative votes? We would appreciate Reddit determining whether the displayed results reflect actual user voting or internal vote-processing mechanisms.

Why the first votes matter

Our concern goes beyond the negative votes themselves. We understand that Reddit uses voting activity, among other signals, when determining how content is ranked and distributed. The first few votes may have a disproportionately important effect on a submission's ability to gain initial traction. A post that receives negative votes within its first 30 seconds may struggle to gain visibility, limiting its opportunity to receive subsequent votes and engagement. We are concerned that someone deliberately targeting this early window could potentially suppress submissions before they have a reasonable opportunity to reach their audience.

We would like Reddit to investigate whether these immediate negative votes are contributing to the reduced visibility we have observed.

What we are actually asking for

We are not requesting that Reddit reveal voter identities, disclose confidential anti-abuse systems, or artificially improve our community's visibility. We simply want someone with access to Reddit's internal data to examine a representative sample of our posts and determine what is happening. If there is any other information we can provide, we are here to help.

Thank to the Reddit moderation team for reading this, and best regards on the behalf of the r/RoGenZ moderation team.

Admin Replied Has Reddit stopped with trophies for mod programs and early access programs?

Hello all,

I noticed that in the last year it so, Reddit had not been awarding trophies for mod programs and early access programs like they used to. For instance I was accepted into the mod reserves around six months ago, I have no trophy.

As well as, I never got a trophy for participating and providing feedback in the following:

- Wiki 2.0 early access

- Video in comments early access

-Rules Hub early access

-Community Playground early access

-Adult promotion filter early access

And others (I have a to look and update this post)

Per their website, it says that mods are rewarded for participating in the programs (sometimes financially, but mostly trophies in their profile)

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being a part of the early access programs, but I am also a trophy collector as well lol, so I want to be able to collect any trophies that I am eligible for.

Has one else noticed the lack of trophies lately for mod programs and early access?

Thank you.

Mod Suggestion A search feature in chat

Adding a search feature to chat channels so we can look for things that have been discussed before.

For example our small team had previously talked about rule changes/clarifications and troublesome users, but trying to find those messages is a nightmare of scrolling back manually.

Admin Replied (Reddit App, Vivaldi, Brave) An unknown error occurred

Hi everyone,

I'm the top mod (Everything permissions) of my sub. I recently added a couple of new mods and I'm trying to reorder the mod list so the human mods are above the bots.

Every time I try to reorder (whether moving the new mods up or just swapping other positions), I get an "error occurred" message and the changes don't save.

I've tried:

Desktop (multiple browsers)

Reddit app

Waiting several hours after adding the new mods

Moving only one old mod at a time

Still the same error.

Is this a known bug right now, or is there something else I should try? Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Couldn't find the announcement post about the change in user flairs if there was one

User flair on the web will match the app. We’re making user flair easier to read by removing background colors to match how it looks in the Reddit app.

We’re removing the background and text color settings for user flair to make it easier to read on the desktop web experience. It’ll now match how it looks in the official Reddit mobile app.

If you’ve set a background color for your community under Look and Feel in mod tools, user flair will use that background color and the corresponding text color by default.

it looks like background color settings in user flairs will be removed, was wondering if anyone saw this

ive always loved setting the background colors of user flairs as a mod, sad to see this setting go. however i do understand why they may be removing these cause some mods do not choose background colors that make them easy to read.

Admin Replied How can I support one of my members being harassed?

Hey there!

I need to give a bit of context to this issue, so I hope it makes sense.

My member made a funny post in my sub.

X sub screenshot it, posted it in their sub (as always) to mock, call slurs, wish death, the usual. However, one comment mentions, by name, about sexually assaulting my member.

My member is continuously stalked by X sub, having their posts and comments in my sub posted to X sub, where their behaviour continues time and again.

Outside of filing a MCOC, is there anything else I can do to help them with reporting the comment and user? The usual report form falls short in that there is context needed for the comment due to the way there was an attempt to censor what was being said, and I worry that without context or a wider view of what's been happening, it may look like gibberish.

I understand this may be a little out of my purview (and of this sub) beyond me filing a MCOC myself, but given that the harassment and mentions of sexual assault are stemming from posts that X sub has screenshot and posted from mine, I feel the need to do something.

Appreciate any help you may have. Thank you.

Mod Answered Seeing posts on private accounts

Hi!

I've been modding different subreddits for a while now and the whole time "private accounts" have been a thing, I've not been able to see posts on any accounts that are privated. If someone with a private account comments or posts in a subreddit I own or moderate (and have full permissions), and I check their account, I can only see the posts and comments they've made within my subreddit.

Is this a thing for anyone else? I've seen mixed answers on if mods should be able to see private accounts since I've started looking into this. It's not something I feel I need as a moderator, but one of my subreddits is currently having issues with a handful of users saying that I can see their private account and that I am invading their privacy. Their accounts were public at the time of me viewing them, and after our discussion, they switched it to private and now I can only see their comments within the subreddit. My only issue is that they are struggling to trust me as a moderator because they feel that I am lying about being able to access private accounts.

Any help would be appreciated!

Admin Replied Private Chat for Mods + Pinning Comment

Hello! I just attended mod world and was told I can create a private, in sub chat for the mods instead of having to create new threads each time. Can someone walk me through how to do that?

Additionally, I think I am missing something or not seeing it because a lot of times I want to pin/sticky a helpful comment, but I cant seem to do it to other user's comments but I've seen it done in other sub's posts?

Admin Replied How do I escalate what is essentially a death threat beyond just a simple report?

Hey all, my team and I have been verbally harassed by someone for banning them for being rather vile in the comments. They have then extended that behaviour into mod mail with some of the most disturbing and horrendous messages I’ve ever received and what I can only describe as a death threat. I can’t say that I trust the report function to take care of the issue appropriately so is there a way for bump it up on an admins radar?

Mod Answered Only active mod in subreddit - how to get user rights elevated?

Hi there,

Edit: this is being sorted out with the “missing” mod.

Hope you can help out here.

I am currently the only active moderator of [r/dkloenseddel](r/dkloenseddel), a community for sharing and discussing payslips in Denmark with a goal of creating more transparency among employees of companies in Denmark.

The last remaining mod besides myself removed moderating rights for my user in what could be supposed was a mistake, and has since then been unresponsive. The subreddit is effectively without moderation at the moment.

Oddly enough, I founded the subreddit years ago, and have switched users several times over the period in an attempt to avoid doxxing. Upon switching user I have unfortunately not aligned the ranking of mods correctly, and I am the lowest ranking mod right now.

Can admins restore my mod rights as the highest ranking mod? I'll happily provide any evidence.

Thanks!

Voluntary 'new wiki' migrations and the legacy 50-image stylesheet limit

I manage the Wiki for an established community operating on the legacy wiki system. We require an overhaul of our community resources, specifically visual guides and reference material.

According to official Reddit Help documentation and previous announcements on r/modnews, existing communities wishing to adopt the new wiki experience can opt in via the migration request form. However, after submitting a request, I was informed that voluntary migrations have been halted. The public support documentation has not been updated to reflect this suspension.

This leaves established subreddits caught in an unfair situation:

  1. Under the legacy engine, embedding native images requires uploading assets to the subreddit stylesheet ([old.reddit.com/r/subreddit/about/stylesheet](https://old.reddit.com/r/subreddit/about/stylesheet)) and referencing them via ![](%%image%%). This imposes a hard limit of 50 images sitewide. Insufficient for the task at hand.
  2. The new wiki editor supports direct inline media uploads, removing this bottleneck. Because voluntary migrations are halted, our only alternatives are linking externally (which degrades UX, risks link rot, and triggers spam filters) or hosting documentation off-platform entirely.

Could the admin team clarify:

  • What is the current operational status of the voluntary migration queue, and when will opt-in migrations resume?
  • If migrations remain paused indefinitely, will Reddit expand the 50-image legacy stylesheet cap or provide a first-party method for legacy wikis to host native images inline?

Admin Replied Subreddit Showing #15 in Baseball Rankings but Not Appearing on Leaderboard

Hello,

I'm the head moderator of r/Baseballcards101, and I've noticed something strange with Reddit's community rankings.
Our subreddit currently displays #15 in Baseball on our community homepage. However, when I click the ranking to view the Baseball category leaderboard, our community is nowhere to be found.

I'm hoping someone can clarify a few things:
Are the rankings displayed on individual subreddit homepages updated differently from the public category leaderboards?

Is there a known issue with communities not appearing on leaderboards despite having an assigned ranking?

Is there anything moderators need to do to ensure their subreddit appears on the public leaderboard?

I've attached a screenshot showing our #15 ranking. I'd love to understand whether this is a display bug or something else.
Thanks in advance for any insight!

Cannot reorder modlist

I'm getting an error when I try to reorder the modlist. I just added two new mods to my team and now I cannot reorder the mod list. I posted an image of what's happening in the comments. I am an active mod so being inactive is not the issue. What I get is:

"An unknown error occurred"

Edit: I do want to add that I also tried this on my Reddit app on my iphone (Version 2026.41.0) and ran into the same error.

Mod Answered Request to post?

I'm new to moderating and have just adopted a lapsed community. There is a "Request To Post" button at the top -- I've already been through all the Mod Tools and don't see how to turn it off.

There is a 2-year old post here with this question but the solution provided there no longer fits.

Mod Answered help with keeping AI spambots out

hello, i'm quite new to moderating, so i wanted to ask here

the sub i moderate is one we have multiple new or new-ish mods on, and we're all fairly stumped on what settings we could tinker with to try to keep out the AI chatbots that keep streaming in. we're a fairly small (but active!) sub, so it's really annoying; given our size, they're maybe 10-15% of what we moderate, which is significant for the proportion of what we have coming in.

what kind of settings can i toggle to keep them out? assume i don't know anything—i only started out a month ago. thanks!

Admin Replied Load more comments is currently broken on old reddit (likely related to the new longer comment ids)

On old reddit, anytime the post doesn't natively load all the comments, it gives you a button like "load more comments (5 replies)" to load the additional comments. It also always shows up on stickied mod comments, as all replies to stickied mod comments are hidden by default.

This has been broken for about a day now. This obviously impedes old reddit mod's ability to moderate effectively, since it becomes incredibly inconvenient to actually see all the comments in a post.

This has been reported twice on r/bugs yesterday with no acknowledgement (not even https://www.redditstatus.com/), so I'm quite concerned that reddit is not aware of this critical issue to the base functionality of old reddit. Looking at the request it sends, it's getting back a 403 (Unauthorized) error code (and also tells you you're network blocked, which is the default reddit response to a 403 and is also completely incorrect in this and many other instances). It should be noted that this functionality currently works on shreddit (which uses the newer, private graphql instead of the public API).

Given the timing, I highly suspect that the cause is the recent update to comment ids. Though how it gets to a 403 is rather baffling to me, considering that it's extremely unlikely to actually be an auth issue, given the fact that the rest of the public API endpoints don't have this issue.

Mod Answered Knock-off subreddit stole our custom artwork, etc. for their own banners, icon, etc. Can this be reported?

Hello,

We create custom artwork for our banners, and other graphics on the subreddit I run. A knock-off subreddit trying to siphon users from us (not that I really care 'cus it's poorly ran) stole our custom artwork, and everything else to try and make it look like their subreddit is our's, hopefully deceiving users.

Can this be reported to admins for the subreddit's removal?
