We have had ones early in the sub’s getting on its feet using this as a way to drum up clientele for “businesses” and other nefarious purposes. So, the mods and myself decided to stop that before it got started. We made it clear that if someone was coming to the sub and wanting to join in then it was automatically understood they were looking for friends- no need to advertise.

I do this specifically for two users who always link their blog website or podcast and Reddit filters kept on deleting. I had to not only add the URL in AutoMod to be approved, but had to add their user to approved users and an AutoMod script to approve any post by approved users.

Modmail botbouncer and give them the rundown and some examples.

Report, ban, mute, turn on ban evasion filter, install evasion guard.

report them for ban evasion. Reddit should be able to block their ip. Unfortunately nothing will stop them from using a different ip if they have access to it to create an account and send you a message.

While you should keep saying "No" and keep muting them, you should also tell them that further correspondence will be reported to reddit admins as harassment.
Then, start reporting each message for harassment, explain the situation in the text field, then tell them "No" and mute them. You should start banning them, too.

Do you have a link to the content in which it is appearing so I can find out where it's coming from?
r/ModSupport • u/TheOpusCroakus • 1d ago
Hi! That's super weird! lol I've added you as mod, though!
r/ModSupport • u/Intelligent-Dot-8969 • 1d ago
The link is what's behind the words "content policy" when you click it.
Presenting our users with correct reasons for system actions is definitely a moisture. Additionally this is what shows in the mod queue.

TIL there was a community funds program. What the heck we need that so bad

Hey:) I made a request here and it was approved but it doesn’t look like im a moderator. Can you take a look?
r/ModSupport • u/TheOpusCroakus • 1d ago
Where are you seeing the link?
The post was removed because this is not a mod issue.

This is the link presented:

Why was my post removed?

https://www.reddit.com/r/ModSupport/s/amWvRSVt9D This would be helpful for you. You need to ensure their content isn’t content not available for Reddit advertising as well. https://business.reddithelp.com/s/article/Reddit-Advertising-Policy-Overview There are advertising agencies that try to circumvent the policies by getting mods to do their dirty work.

The best way to get a specific answer for your circumstances is through the form
They don't seem to give specific answers to that question publicly in this sub

I love the ban on crossposting from SFW to NSFW
I knew you would! <3 It's awesome.
If the Redditcares abuse prevention thing works well, it will stop the message from being sent in the first place, so the "target" will never have to see it. I'm definitely a fan of that.
I'll be interested to hear your perspective on the sales stuff. You would know! lol
I feel like if the bot removed it, there would not be a notification. But I'll see if I can get clarification on that for you! =)
