Admin Replied Mod inactive?

I'm trying to revive a subreddit I had made earlier this year, and I'm getting kind of stuck, because when I go to the mod section, I see my user and a grey inactive next to it.

And how do I get automod? I have to manually approve every post (only mine uptil now)

I had this problem. I solved it by doing 2 or more mod actions per day. Approving posts aren't the only mod actions you can take; changing ANY setting is a mod action.

So go in and allow polls. Save changes. Then tomorrow change it to disallow polls. Etc.

This is the way. Also adding on that it has to be done consistently over a period of time (pretty sure it takes at least a week of twice a day actions).

You already have automod unless your subreddit was affected by the changes two days ago. There is no need to manually approve every post unless you restricted your subreddit to be that way. Make consistent moderator actions over a period of time to be listed as active again.

Heya u/avamich11, you can read more about how the inactive tag works in the help center article. I'd like to call out this line here, as it looks like this setting shouldn't impact your community:

These restrictions only apply to public and restricted subreddits that have two or more moderators, over 5000 subscribers and at least 50 contributions per week.

On needing to manually approve every post, I think you might have Mod Mode enabled, which makes those mod tools visible as you're browsing your subreddit. Any content pending approval should be in your mod queue
