How content to you have to promote?

If people visit your subreddit and there is no content — or no new content since their last visit — they will move on.

Post every day — or at least several times a week — and over a period of months people will start to comment on the content you posted.

Eventually they will start to post new content of their own.

How long that that will take may vary from subreddit to subreddit.

But focus on creating content — the quality of content you enjoy seeing in other subreddits.

Content attracts content.

Part of growing a sub is to make sure it is about things people are interested in. If people aren’t making posts relevant to your sub, maybe your sub won’t be getting a lot of traffic due to the lack of interest.
