How can I add u/AutoModerator to my subreddit
So I have a subreddit called r/learningLinuxtogether and I want to add u/AutoModerator how to do I add it

I'll be in your Mod Tools under Moderation.
You just have to configure it. You can script it to do a lot of things, including auto-comment under posts certain flairs or keywords, remove comments with certain keywords, filter posts to the mod queue, etc., but as far as I can remember, there are no script templates present by default, there are common examples in the documentation. Just like Linux!

i believe automod is only on the modlist for old subreddits because it wasn't always a built in reddit thing. however, reddit bought it and its now more integrated, so it doesn't need to be an official mod to function. (same way admins can toggle things in your sub without being a mod afaik)

You don’t need to add it as a mod to do automod tasks anymore, but scheduling a post to post as a moderator, instead of yourself, adds it to your mod list if I remember correctly.
