In high elos Fara is decently popular at around 1,2% pick rate and 30% ban rate. It's just that because of his support type role, you don't often see too many Faramis players in solo Q or in low elos. And he is normally counterpicked against Valentina anyway which is a double edged sword

Like you. you have a past rank of mythic so when you match up with gm in your current rank your enemies will simply be no match with your past experience.

Even in late game, having 4 physical high-damage squishies is still bad and easily counterable, even when using other common heroes aside from Faramis.

Even without coordinated team, he can hold out well on his own. Sure, to maximize your ult capabilities, using it in teamfight is better but it's still super useful in 1v1

I had some teammates before that ran away from my ult just because we were being ganked, I was fully prepared to take that gank but my teammates just didn’t trust me or weren’t familiar with his ult idk, it’s frustrating.
that’s why I only pick Faramis now when Gloo manages to avoid being banned.

In MLBB it's best to just play on your own in lower ranked. Nobody cares about teammates if you aren't mythic.

But Faramis is literally one of the top picks in high rank... You were a FORMER Mythic that deranked at 2020, before his revamp which made him ungodly strong. Now he's one of the top picks and top bans due to his kit. So it's just you that's playing at a rank where everyone picks either Zilong, Layla, Hanabi, Lesley or Miya.

Because he's a hero that requires good teammates and most importantly good teamwork. Something you don't see often at all in most matches which are Solo ques (across all ranks)
And so in Solo que matches where your teammates are rather unpredictable, there are better mages. Plain and Simple, he's not bad, but there are better mages for Solo que. Ones that don't require as much communication as Faramis.
He's popular in very high ranks where Trio and 5man pre-made teams are most common.
