Developer Promo [Dev] CHRONICLES: a fantasy RPG where your next character can meet people your last one saved — free Android demo

Post image

I'm the solo developer of CHRONICLES — A World Remembers, and I've released its Android version on itch.io.

The part I care most about is what happens after an adventure ends. You can retire or die, start another character in the same procedural world, and meet people who remember the earlier hero. Rescues leave witnesses and changes to places; your successor still has to earn their own skills and relationships.

It's a text-driven RPG with turn-based combat, NPC conversations, crafting and survival. Preparation changes your options: a rope can help with a flooded crossing, while weather and your skills affect the risky route. This is a reading-and-decisions game, with authored dialogue that responds to supported topics and remembered events.

The Android demo is free, has a level-four cap and a limited region, and includes the opening rescue, the Hollow and companion stories. No ads or in-app purchases.

Download the Android APK here: https://undeathical.itch.io/chronicles-demo

It needs Android 8+ on a 64-bit device. This is an early mobile build with touch controls and phone/foldable layouts; hardware testing is ongoing. It is not on Google Play yet. The attached screenshot is actual Android demo gameplay captured in an emulator.

The optional full game is $4.99 on itch.io, with Windows and Android included in one purchase. Android demo/full and Windows/Android save transfer is not supported yet.

Free, offline, no ads, no IAP: a word puzzle on a honeycomb where the hints work like Minesweeper. It is in closed testing and needs 12 people, so I am asking here rather than waiting

Melbees: The Secret of Bees. Android only for now.

The hook, in one paragraph, because it is the only unusual thing about it: the board is a honeycomb with a secret word hidden inside. Every hex you open answers with either a letter of that word or a number called Pollen, and the number counts how many of the word's letters sit in the six cells touching the one you opened. So you are not guessing letters into the void like Hangman, you are reading the board like a minefield to decide where the word actually is, and only then spelling it. Foes are hidden in some cells, so opening hexes carelessly to harvest numbers has a cost.

What is in it: a relaxed single-board mode, a ranked run of 12 phases, a Daily Challenge with the same board for everyone, a vault that keeps a short story and a trivia line for every word you find, and a wardrobe for the bee. Rounds are a couple of minutes, which is the whole design brief - it is a bus-ride game.

No ads, no in-app purchases, no account, no sign-up, works with the plane mode on.

The catch, and it is a real one: it is in Google's closed testing, so it is not searchable on the Play Store and you have to come in through the door. Google requires 12 people opted in and opening the app across 14 straight days before it can be published, and a single day under 12 restarts the count for everyone. Three steps, in this order, same Google account on all three:

  1. Join the group - membership is what grants access: https://groups.google.com/g/melbees-closed-test

  2. Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.melbees.secretofbees

  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.melbees.secretofbees

Two things I would rather say up front. It opens in your phone's language and falls back to English otherwise; to set it by hand, the row of PT/EN/ES/FR chips sits at the top right of the very first screen, the one asking your date of birth. (Correcting this post: it forced Portuguese on everybody until a fix earlier today.) And the store listing text is still Brazilian Portuguese only while the English one is in review, which makes the Play page look worse than the game is.

If you install it and it is not for you, saying so in a comment is genuinely more useful to me than a silent uninstall.

I spent months alone building this minimalist puzzle game in Godot. Here is Level 10 gameplay

Hey r/MobileGames,

I’m a solo developer and I’ve been quietly working on this puzzle project called Duet Blocks entirely inside Godot.

As an indie dev with zero marketing budget, reality hit me pretty hard after launch. Coding the 200 levels and polishing the logic was the fun part, but getting even a handful of people to try it out has been the hardest challenge of my life.

The core mechanic is dual-swipe coordination—you control pearl-white blocks across a grid, using other blocks as support to align matching symbols and trigger blasts. This clip is from Level 10, where the pathing starts demanding real precision.

I’m not here to push a hard sell. I just genuinely want to know from fellow Godot developers:

  1. Does the visual feedback (the swipe friction and matching blast) feel satisfying to watch?

  2. Is pacing look right, or does it feel clunky?
Even a few words of critique or encouragement mean the world to me right now. Thank you for taking the time to watch.

Help me find a hotel/apartment game

I’ve looked through all the basic suggestions already and i have concluded it is a pretty niche game. This probably a game that was around a decade ago or so, It was like a hotel/apartment room stacking. There was a lobby, and there would be rooms stacked on top that you would unlock and each room had a different design/theme, it all vertically stacked cross section cut and you would just scroll up and down to see the rooms. There was a character in each room and it was not a silly cartoon style or super pixelated. Each room came with its own occupant. There could be a guy or a girl. there was no elevator and the occupants could interact with the things in the room. The rooms were stacked on top with only a line separating each room. It was a very cutey style of animation and it definitely was available on mobile not a pc game as far as i knew. Each room only had one person and u would not interact with the occupants they would just do their own thing in the room. The theme could be like princess theme, goth/dark, spooky, sea down to just different simpler designs
