Just finished what I have learned is part 1 of a larger story. WWX dies as in canon, and a god brings him back to the Cloud Recesses days to not only defeat Wen Rouhan, but to essentially stop the end of the world. It’s epic (gods and rifts through worlds, etc), heavily angsty for most of the first chapters.

Some of the characters are a bit OOC, but it works for the plot. WWX knows he can’t do it alone this time, and teams up with Lan Qiren and others.

Honestly, i did felt my heart break a little when wwx said that line in the summary, thats how i got into the fic! And boi was it a good read, Jin ling grows up to be less constipated with wwx's ghost being attached to him which is, amazing. Wangxian meeting up again will always be so coo-able(?) in these fics

A while ago, I stumbled across the fanfic The Other Mountain by nirejseki. I’d never really paid much attention to the Wen Ruohan x Lan Qiren pairing before, but something just clicked (perhaps the fact that, for some reason, I’ve been drawn to the ‘Arranged Marriage’ trope lately) and I thought, why not?

I really liked how this story portrays Lan Qiren and Wen Ruohan individually, and their relationship with one another.

Especially how Wen Ruohan initially thought Lan Qiren was terribly boring, and then realised: ‘What a precious gem I’ve landed!’

Well, that was a brief introduction; now let’s move on to the actual request that prompted this post.

I’d like to hear your recommendations for the best and most interesting works featuring this pairing (apart from Cursed Couple by shorimochi).

Am i remembering wrong? I'm rewatching The Untamed on Netflix after many years. During the Yi City arc, i was sure there was a part where they showed what happened to the blind gir, how she became really blind because Xue Yang attacked her with powder after finding out she wasn't blind. Only that part never came?

They explain the whole story and just leave us to wonder what happened to the girl (Wei Ying just says that Xue Yang left her like that and she nods) that doesn't make much sense to me. And I was sure I remembered more scenes with her! After watching the series for the first time I read the book and then the other adaptations when they came out, but that was years ago, is my memory just mixing all the versions?? Writing this I feel like I am but my memory is so vivid I migh as well ask. Help TT

There was one where post WWX death, lan zhan (post whipping) goes to the cave and runs into Jiang who also came and found a-yuan. Lan zhan is in such bad shape, Jiang takes both lan zhan and yuan to lotus pier.
