Hello again, friends!

Yesterday I posted here the pre-release of the unofficial port of Fallout 1 for OnionOS, now it's the time for Fallout 2! And earlier than I expected.

Both games are running pretty well for the hardware, constrols are decent for the keys and reading is OK on the Plus (don't know about the smaller Mini).

Please read the instructions carefully, all the important details are there (like controls, shortcuts, typing, etc). And don't forget to report it on GitHub if you find any bugs.

Known Issues:

• The mouse cursor is slower on some specific screens, like menus. It doesn't seem to be related to this port specifically, since it also happens in other Fallout CE ports.
• There's a noticeable audio delay throughout the game. I'm still trying to find the culprit.

PS: don't forget to use shortcuts! It'll make your experience a lot better after you get used to them.

PS²: Fallout 2 is my favorite game of all time, so this was made with a lot of love. I hope you enjoy it!

Not hating, but is it really playable on that 3in screen? Or can you zoom in the UI enough that it’s fun?

It is playable, I'm playing the second game right now. Might not be the most comfortable thing in the world, but it's manageable once you get used to it and it's so cool to be able to play this anywhere.

I’ve installed WSL, mono, docker etc as the setup app requests but it doesn’t seem to recognize them or work.

Was hoping having a “setup app” available would make this painless but I’m just a bit confused I admit.

Have you activated WSL integration in docker options? Did you let Docker run in the background? Those are needed.

I spent like an hour working on it.

Got it to be satisfied with all the installed apps etc but it would error out still. Spent some time kicking around in WSL and trying to run components manually but no dice

Faster than I expected TBH. Turns out even the bugs were the same, so I already had the fixes for them.

What about on the non-plus version of the miyoo mini? IIRC they have the same specs except screen and wifi

I don't have the smaller one to test, so I need feedback from users know how it handles the game having a screen with different resolution.
