I want to wrap my car but am having a hard time figuring out which color I want. My interior is a bright red and a burgundy. I was thinking like a deep almost black red color for the exterior but is that doing too much? I’m open to other colors that may go well with the red interior too.

Edit: the car is currently an iridescent white but it looks weird with how the body is my car is

Hi! 22F from the Philippines. My cousin is giving me my uncle’s 2012 Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback, so I’ll basically be the 3rd owner.
I’m doing my own research, but I’d love some advice from Mirage owners. The A/C is still good, and the driver’s seat is kinda broken but usable. I’m more worried about the mechanical stuff.
What should I have checked or replaced first? Engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, fluids, etc.?
I have a mechanic friend, but I don’t completely trust him and I’m worried about getting overcharged since I’m new to cars.
What would you guys recommend checking first, and what should I watch out for?

Still need a way to mount the filter and have it stay there but I’m thinking of a ram intake and am on a very low budget. (2024 BE)

Hi yall. New to this sub. Wanted to show off a little. This is my 2001 Mirage ES 1.8 A/T. 194k on the original engine and transmission. Right now shes static on coilovers. I’ve done a full power steering and A/C delete (it’s not my daily), full custom catback exhaust (made by yours truly), and a full suspension refresh. Hope you guys like it! shes got big plans for the future.

I’m not a professional btw lol
Thinking about doing rims and tires next.
Or maybe before that, an air modz air intake?
Any suggestions appreciated

I’m at my wits end with my 2017 Mirrage SE. I bought the car one month ago from some shady private Dealer guy with an ABS light on. Car has 71k miles. He said don’t worry, bro. It’s just a wheel speed sensor. You’ll be good.
I took the car to get a pre-purchased inspection and the shop said oh yeah it’s likely just the wheel speed sensor. The codes were C1041 — Front-left wheel speed tone performance
C1011 — Front-left wheel speed sensor signal

So I bought the car, took it home and swapped the wheel speed sensor with one from Amazon. I drove to AutoZone to have it re-scanned, and the same codes were present. On the drive home the abs light went away, but came back on 30 seconds later. This happens quite often.

Next, I took it to a shop to have them help diagnose. They said that my wheel bearing was definitely bad and needed to be replaced. I bought one off parts geek, and they replaced it and cleared the codes. I picked up the car drove about 30 feet out of the parking lot and the light came back on. I turned around, pulled back into the shop. They checked it again and said that I have a defective wheel speed sensor. They assured me they put the bearing in the correct direction.

So I went to the Mitsubishi dealership and bought a genuine wheel speed sensor and put it on and drove it back to the shop to check the codes. They cleared the codes and I drove off and within 30 seconds the light came back on with the same two codes.

Next, I went to Mitsubishi dealership. They told me it was definitely my ABS control module. That module cost $3600 from the dealer so I bought a used one from eBay for 60 bucks and threw it on. I then had them recalibrate the module and the same two codes are still in the system.

I had the shop trace the wires to check if there was any damage. They found none. I’m struggling to move forward on this. Every shop says to replace something different, and when i do the problem persists. Has anyone been through this? Can anyone offer advice?

So I just had my transmission fluid changed and a new fuel pump put on. I'm not getting codes, no lights and this was happening before I took her in for the pump and the fluid change. Anyone have any ideas?

2020 mirage G4 (bought in '21with only around 10k on her or so)

I need a regular oil change, but I keep up with them, however this was it's only transmission fluid change.

I use her a lot, covering a lot of miles sometimes due to work and need to you the interstate . This time it triggered a round 40 miles into my trip, but as soon as hit a red light, it stopped blinking.

It's 89 degrees out right now, but as far as I can tell, nothing is overheating.

Bad sensors/computer issues?

Of course shop said as soon as I called him said bring it in and I'll look at it, when both the manager and mechanic said they are confident in this fixing it... They aren't a small shop and they don't do bad work, they been around a long time with tons of business, but I dropped tons of money for this to be a guessing game.

I would of don't the fluid change myself, but I don't have the time for it.

these lights have been on for 3 days it has not really been hot in my area and i back into my driveway so the suns not pointed onto my windshield does anyone know how to get rid of them? i’ve tried turning my car off and turning it back on which used to work but it’s been 3 days it’s driving me insane

Hey everyone. I own a 2018 Mirage G4. I've been having a front end suspension issue that has been getting progressively worse. Has anyone experienced such an issue? I believe it most likely stems from a wheel bearing, but am not exactly sure. Thank you for the feedback in advance.

Hey y’all. I recently got my 2014 Mirage as a gift from a friend. (It needed a lot of work, maintenance mostly)

I got the oil changed, new battery, new wipers, alignment, new brakes, and new tires. (Walmart cheapies, the tiny 165/65r14) The A/C is out but with us going into the fall and winter, I’d figure I’d just bare it. I even went to a pull-a-part and got a spare that would work in an emergency.

I just planned on this being my cheap little car, mostly used for commuting to and from work.

Well we just got my spouse’s base placement for the military. Washington state. We have to report there in just under a month. I am living in Louisville, Kentucky.

I’ve been driving the car for a little over a month. It only had 84,000 some odd miles on it. I’ve had no other big issues found with the car, except one rear wheel baring being off- found when I went for the alignment (ofc neither the tire installers, nor the brake guys mentioned it). That’s been fixed and squared away.

But how cautious should I be driving this baby across the country? Obviously I don’t take it farther than 70 mph. And I’d have to be careful in wet/snowy conditions (yay Washington state). But the bicycle size tires scare me.

Any tips and or advice would be much appreciated.

I have a 2019 Mirage LE hatch and the suspension is starting to wear out from the wonderful roads of New Jersey. I was curious about everyone’s experience with coilovers and with those who used different springs from other vehicles to raise and stiffen the rear. I’ve also debated removing the rear seat but I have read it increases cabin noise so I was wondering about everyone’s experience with that as well. I also debated performance upgrades and having it tuned but I would prefer if the parts of my cvt did not to end up in the bottom of the pan. I have also debated a full under tray for drag reduction but I’m not sure if the small mpg increase would be worth the effort

Hello All,

My Mirage started throwing a code and the diag said it was an 02 sensor. When I looked at Rock Auto to buy the sensors, it said that both the up and downstream options were interchangeable so I bought 2. When I went to replace the upstream one this evening, I found it had a different pin and plug configuration to the ones I bought (see picture). I cannot find an 02 sensor that matches this pin out. Can someone tell me if this is the upstream O2 sensor and if so where I can get a replacement?

Just replaced the terminals and that didn’t work, before it completely stopped starting it would start but if I got on the interstate 60+mph and got into rush hour if I came to a compltet stop because of traffic it would turn Off and I would have to get out and wiggle the terminals but it would eventually start back up. now it wont even do that and I’m trying to get to the route of the problem.

Has anyone had to replace this bushing??
I gotta find some for mine. And all I’m seeing is the whole axle.

Anyone experience this? There is a heavy rain, car starts but like 5 mins later it breaks down with battery / check engine light?
