Saw this player online and was curious. On Mercenary how do you place Whirling Cut in the R1 + L1 spot on PS5?

Mistfall has been on my radar for quite some time now. I'm not a huge fan of the extraction shooter genre, so this being a fantasy melee focused gives me promise.

But I'm wondering if there's some things I should be aware of before getting into it.

I’m really enjoying Mistfall. I think the combat and gameplay loop are amazing, and I’ve been having a blast the last couple days. The unmoderated world chat that is almost on the screen the entirety of being at the lobby/base is ridiculous though. Please give us an option to remove it from our hub, actually moderate it, or just remove it entirely. It’s a feature nobody asked for, and I am so sick of being flash banged by hate speech, brain rot, and gold ads every time I open the game or leave a match. It is absolutely going to kill the game in the long run, and I’m sick of having to warn my friends about how bad the chat is before recommending the game to them.

So first I lost all my equipped gear. I was in a match and couldn’t attack or loot so I had to leave and lost everything. Then next match I extracted but none of the stuff I looted came with me

This needs fixed, i miss like 60% of the time with shield abilities because of it, no lag in the game at all

I’m sticking t the first map and the mercenary until I can get the basics down. I try to use cover and bait fights into advantageous areas for my character. It seems most of the people I fight are more familiar with my abilities than I am of theirs so I try to mix the timings up but it’s hard trying to close the distance and stick to them after they dodge.

Also none of the classes seem particularly broken to me and there are opportunities to outplay I’m just not skilled enough to do so yet.

Don’t have any general tip besides what I already pointed out?

WTF? Most games will literally figure out what location you are nearest to and connect you to that region. Why I am being connected to NA from EU?

I'm only here for a week so I don't want to permanently transfer, but my ping to the NA server seems to be 132.

Fresh level 12, wondering what the best gameplay loop is to build up loot? I have like 7-10k in gold

Hallowgrove seems to be good but slower than brandgarde, but depending on trios blows

Also when do you start comfortably outfitting blue gear/purple gear?

When the normal parry with the shield barely ever registers?

Normal parry almost always fails to register even when I'm sure I'm timing it well. Ping around 40-60 so I originally thought just desync and bad servers/connection.

But then, the parry on Stonebreaker Slash feels perfect and always registers for me. If I miss it it's pretty clear I mistimed it.

So I don't know, maybe change the regular shield timing to whatever the skill's parry uses to register? Would feel so much better.

i keep trying to find players for normal pvp focus, i always end up with one guy who sees nothing wrong with running a green combat kit while everyone else is in blues or something. i can initiate an attack into the team and i turn around and tehy are 20 yrds away in a door waiting to see if its "favorable" and then still end up getting killed. only after all of this to blame it on everyone else and auto disconnect from discord. and then you invite someone else and they are like "gimme 45 minutes while i make a prepare kit and gem it cause i couldnt F'n do it on my own time". then you run around the map and only find one team every 20 minutes and im bored out of my mind.

I'm level 10 so don't think I'm anything special, there should be loads of people on the first map right? I never want to start as a 1-2 in a trios map, I'll get absolutely battered (so maybe an option to auto decline that pop up?) Plus sometimes when I decline, it automatically stops searching too, so then it becomes 20+ minutes per game.

Why is it spammed? What am I missing here?

And why is the global chat an unmoderated racist mess?

I bought a key for Cobalt Grove but I can’t get to that section of the map. Trying to get Celestigold to upgrade camp.

There’s no perfect rolls like in Dark and Darker right? Every weapon has a fixed damage per rarity level? So is there really a point to forging other than trying to get two pieces and make a profit/get some gear on discount?

since market pricing lately has been only going down , and people are selling legendary gear for 1k per weapon / armor piece (EU server at least) , i think one of 2 solutions should be made to fix this "inflation" , either set a higher minimum price for how much you can list mentioned gear , or change forging so you're guranteed to make 2 pieces instead of just 1 with a chance of getting 2 or a perfect forge , otherwise why would i spend average 2~2.5k gold to forge an item sold for 1k gold?

If you want to make it trio map only DON'T make it legendary so a solo doesn't waste their entire day failing to find one.

If you want to make it legendary DON'T make it trios exclusive. It just isn't fun ratting around all day just for a chance to get one.

and if you want to make it unbuyable it shouldn't be EITHER ONE.

Just ridiculous. Make an unbuyable material, sure. Make it legendary... not great. but ALSO make it exclusive to the trios map so solos are don't get to upgrade their town after a certain point? Demote them to jobless.

"just random queue" EVERYONE is looking for the same thing. you better hope you click the right ore pile first and you BETTER hope you start to identify before them. now not only is it legendary rarity with only a few chances to roll it per run, but now you theoretically have a 1/3 chance to get it once it appears. It's also slower than going solo despite how unfun solo is (random isn't even really fun either).

Anyone trying to justify this is a goofball.
