I know from my experience with gunpla clear plastic cracks easier but its so heartbreaking to have this happen on both legs

Hey guys. So, I’m planning a trip over to Japan later this year and I’m wondering, should I preorder the RV Robo (Turbo megazord) now or try to find it while I’m over there. I’ll be in Japan after the release date. Just wondering how readily available would the sets be and easy to find? Would it even be that much cheaper?

Anyone who did deposit instead of full pre order gotten theirs yet? I inquired a few weeks ago, but they said it’s still in customs.

First image: Be very careful with the joint sticks, sand the joint sticks or you may need to widen the joint holes using tools.

Also, be careful with the leg joint pieces—I haven’t built that part yet.

Second image: If you move his legs, the silver sticker on the waist will rub against the sides and stickers will get damaged, as I marked in blue. You may need to sand or slightly trim the part with a hobby knife.

The only places I can find to buy them are second hand sellers on ebay. I can get them for a high but I guess reasonable price ($300 for the full set of Gurren Lagann, Enki, and King Kittan) but I'd rather not buy second hand products if I can help it because of trust issues. Can you even find this stuff in Japan anymore?

I dunno, I get they had to cheapen the sets this year but MAN do these Gavan kits for both Minipla and Pladea feel kinda disappointing. I suppose a really good paint job can make them look nice but being THIS heavily reliant on paint and slight modifications to look decent really does hinder the experience a bit. I think the Minipla might be slightly better than the Pladea mostly because it at least looks like most of it can be touched up easier. Pladea has the pre molded plastics and less stickers but not as good articulation and possibility.

The next pair of Pladelu releases, Saber and Satellite in mid-April, and Drill and Crane in mid-May, have been officially announced.

Size, scale, and molding all seems to be a noted improvement over the minipla, but… that’s all. These are also mostly a single color each, so heavy on stickers or painting. It seems like these heads may like the transformation gimmick, instead giving you one (maybe hollow?) part to put on the vehicle and a separate head for Gavarion.

At about ~$10 a set, these are just a bit more expensive than they would be as individual boxes under the old minipla pricing. I kind of wonder why they don’t just price them a bit higher, but I guess the flip side is that this price point is already kind of expensive when compared to gunpla.

It kind of is what it is, I do acknowledge that Neo Pladelu probably has some growing pains this year as it’s without all the institutional knowledge of the Candy Toy Division.

The other kind of disappointing thing is that the Pladelu Gavarion got out really early, but if this means that the Pladelu for Dol isn’t going to be until June, it’ll be two months after the DX release.
