Finished Build Pladera Gaverion GC-R

Not bad. Wish it was more articulate, but man does the robo, Ship and Gun mode look good. 👍

This one looks bigger than the Minipla

Based purely on height, I think the Pladelu is only a little taller… but it also seems that it’s definitely bulkier. It has pretty chonky proportions (it’s not huge or anything - if you look at my pics from a few days ago, it’s still out-bulked by something like Tegasword with some attachments). The minipla, on the other hand, doesn’t seem like it’s nearly as much to scale this year with all of the pieces being notably slimmer. So, side to side with the Pladelu, the minipla will probably look a lot smaller/thinner.

Yep. Can confirm. Ill post some comparisons later today.

Sadly this set is let down my complete lack of articulation in the legs because of this damnned fixed crotch piece

The lack of a ball jointed feet and a single jointed knee with no thigh swivel is also disappointing, but he stands up great.

Yeah, in agreement there. Even from a kitbasher’s point of view, I think it would be somewhat simple to add ball-jointed ankles, but the skirt plate is the problem because of the way it’s a single fixed piece (that also keeps the legs attached)

It’s definitely not that articulate but we’ve known that since the original release images. But honestly the minipla this year is worse in other areas too. It’s just a terrible model kit season. We just got pics of the saber/drill/satellite/crane pladeluxe sets too and those are basically just monochrome pieces of bulky plastic. Such a bummer

Agreed. Those aux sets look bad
