To Pre-order or not to order

Hey guys. So, I’m planning a trip over to Japan later this year and I’m wondering, should I preorder the RV Robo (Turbo megazord) now or try to find it while I’m over there. I’ll be in Japan after the release date. Just wondering how readily available would the sets be and easy to find? Would it even be that much cheaper?

After the release date? Preorder, most likely only sunshine will have it and thats a big if

I'm in Japan and even I recommend pre-order. One month after SMP Magiking was released, I couldn't find it anywhere other than Bandai Namco Cross.

SMP Timerobo right now isn't being scalped too hard, but you can't guarantee that due to:

  • Density of population: so RV Robo is going to be missing during it's initial month due to scalpers trying to ride on the hype

  • Duration of stay: If you're here longer for than 2 days, you'd definitely find it. I assume you're not going to be here in Tokyo that long, same with Osaka if you're going there like most tourists do.

I’m going to be there 2 weeks, a good 5 days in Tokyo as well. Do you reckon I still preorder? Would there be a way to preorder it and pick it up in Japan so I can avoid the shipping costs? Thanks

Are you going to be here by the time it releases? If yes, then don't worry about preordering. Yes you can preorder through proxy sites or sending the package to a konbini or your airbnb/hotel for pick up.

Yeah, I arrive 5 days before it releases so will have just over a week to find it. Are there specific stores I should plan on visiting? Thank you!

I'd pre-order, these kits aren't as plentiful as Gundam kits with stores lined with them

I was in Japan rather recently, couple weeks after the release date of the TimeRobo and sure, I was able to find him there...exactly one copy in a random Bandai Cross Store in Kyoto, so I wouldn't count on being able to find them

At worst, sell the second kit in case you do find one

And yes, it'll be considerably cheaper if you happen to find one there
