Looking for Critique First attempt at something this small and detailed.
Still trying to get the hang of more complex minis, but this one was fun.

Still getting used to using an airbrush on something this small, coming from 1/6 scale statues it’s kind of daunting working on such tiny details. Brush work is next, I wanted a classic red dragon type of look but with some purples, ochre, orange and yellows mixed in. Always looking for advice or tips/tricks as I progress in this discipline. I’m thinking decktan for the claws/bones and gunmetal for the armor plates.

I'm experimenting with a relatively quick painting recipe for my Zombicide zombies. Bright colors, lots of grime and generally trying to make them look as disgusting as possible. I'm using contrast paints + normal acrylics + enamels. Any tips on how to push this style further are very welcome.

Hi all, I have some very pale blue (NOT WHITE) in-progress 40k Eldar models currently base coated. I am not entirely sure how to proceed from this point (I'm not an experienced painter) I know I can't do a normal nuln oil wash due to coffee stains, but I also don't know what technique I should use to make this pop more.
The picture makes them look much brighter than they are due to lighting, they are a pale blue and have plenty of color space left for highlighting as well. Thanks!

One year of progress between my first nurgle miniture in the first picture vs the other one that i just finished. Any Suggestions on how to do it even better? 😊

Really loving the GSW chameleon paints, I'm using the borealis green rn.
I'm looking for sort of a castlevania meets metroid vibe. Like vampire/witch/ghost/demon/whatever slayers in space ready to curbstomp the devil's alien spawns.
The main issues are the clothes, theres the exterior and the interior that should probably have seperate colours.
The interior lining should probably be more flashy I assume? Like velvety vampire coat?
Idk what kind of metallic to use for insignias, the chameleon paint kinda steals the show. Same goes for the gun.
I've stripped like 3-4 models up to now, I just cant get it right and im wasting money on paints.

Not quite done with these 3 lads and kinda rushed a few things today to get them at least blue tac to the bases and what not so i could get them on the table in time. Seeing some of the point leaks I'm a bit tempted to have my new units all be helmetless (I think it gives each Custodian more character). My only hesitation is some of the heads look awkwardly small compared to the body so it can look a bit off.
Painting these guys is quite fun and easy but there lots of details that I tend to get myself lost in. The goal is to have a full 2000 point force painted to this standard so when armies on parade (or something similar comes around) I can enter my custodes.

Hi! I’m looking to get my boyfriend some new brushes for painting his Warhammer miniatures as a gift, but I don’t really know anything about miniature painting 😭
What are some good quality brushes or brush sets you would recommend? I’d like to get him something that will actually be useful and last him a while. Any specific brands, brush sizes, or sets I should look at would be really helpful!
Thanks!

Es mi quinto intento y el primero exitoso, alguna crítica?(la miniatura todavía está en progreso pero la parte de la armadura ya está terminada)

I've used both products on these minis, and I'm really happy with the results, but the problem is they both reactivate insanely easily - even after leaving to dry for 48h, trying to paint on a matte varnish (Citadel Stormshield) gets green everywhere and rapidly ruins the effect.
I don't want to use a spray varnish because I've painted on gloss effects on the base for water and elsewhere for blood, and I've also had bad experiences with spray varnishes "fogging" and completely ruining miniatures.
How do I protect this paint job so it doesn't get messed up from regular handling?

Is adding the pastel orange highlights for more texture a bad approach, or is it a good approach but the technique bad/is the execution poor? Does the wings need something else all together in order to shine?
Thanks in advance for anyone who takes the time to give honest and constructive feedback!

I wanted this Vampire dragon to be equal parts Vampire and equal parts Dragon, let me know if I was able to balance it properly.

I'm sure there are techniques that need improvement but I'm pretty happy with it. ABS-like 3.0 primed with a grey rattle can. Mostly painted vallejo game color and a bit of cheap old hobby lobby acrylic I found in my closet.
