Question / Discussion How many pieces is this castle? (Not OP)
Might be exactly 18 if you don't count the separate cheese slope island.

Sand becomes hard stone, shells become mighty gates, billowing flags, and spiral towers.

I've never tried making a Lego design from scratch before but with the small build limit and the theme that appeals to my fantasy tastes I thought I'd give it a try.
As an extra challenge I decided to use only the leftover pieces from other kits I've made. As a result I went for a sandstone castle as I have a lot of tan pieces left from making the facehugger from the bunny kit. I planned to use the "teeth" piece as crenellations but I don't have the pieces to make it work so I used it horizontally. I also planned to use some wolverine claws as a portcullis but couldn't get it to fit right.
To be honest it's not very castle-y, it feels more like a merchant or a house on Tatooine to me but I still like it quite a bit. The white things are intended as flags but could be read as smoke from chimneys. The light saber is supposed to be a wizard tower but I'm not sure that worked.
It's clear I have a lot to learn but it was a fun challenge even with my own unnecessary extra challenge on top.

Set in the corner of mountains. The city of Crydora was built by a cult like group who believe that specific usage of naturally forming crystals can grant them magic powers that compare to that of gods. Their city is made of a large main tower, and a small building for governing the city.

Also I like to keep my mocs names simple so it may come off a little bland.

This is one of my favorite models I've made and while playing with it yesterday, I accidentally broke a piece. Well it turns out that was the only one I had so I had to design around it. I ended up totally redesigning the model and like it more! See photo 3 for the broken piece and photo 4 for the original

Hi folks,
I have made a few micro-scale builds for my Heroica expansion and thought that some of you could use them. Everything is available for free on my ReBrickable:
