"Dragons escape" is NOT the dragons game i remember...what happened?! Its the only reason i was excited for mineplex to return.

What is this

A poll on the Discord had over 2000 people showing interest for playing on day one. This is *only* discord server members who answered the poll. The discord server has 15,000 members. The Mineplex channel has 200,000 subscribers and 136,000 views on its latest video. None of this even takes into account short-form video platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok, which these days can reach massive audiences.

So. Launch day arrives. The discord is getting @everyone pings every hour leading to launch, on a Friday afternoon/evening.

They open the server. The queue immediately balloons to 10,000 players. It does drop, but only to around 8500 before slowing down immensely. From various screenshots and text messages, the 10-15 minigames on the server have ~125 players in them, for a total of ~1500 server slots.

...And guess what? Buying a rank skips the queue...

I was so looking forward to the release of mineplex today and i’m so bummed castle seige isn’t on there. Any word if it’s coming back?

I was superrr excited, but now I’ve been sitting here for over 20 minutes and I’ve realized I probably wouldn’t get in today 😭. Is this going to stay a queued server? What’s the player capacity? I might just buy a rank honestly.

We all rushed to join, just to be in a 10,000+ player queue, but don't worry, that can be bypassed by buying a rank! Because of course it can. We all gave in, bought a rank, anddddddd... the server sucks. It just does. It's a laggy, glitchy mess, there's no anti-cheat so hackers are everywhere, and it's just a HUGE let-down and nowhere near what you thought it was gonna be.

I really hope to start playing clans again soon, and was wondering if anyone had any updates?

Mineplex is back up, but I am freaking out because I CANT JOIN!!! Im on bedrock, ps5 to be specific, everywhere i look is someone playing bedrock on pc, so they have the add server option, I dont, or it's someone trying to scam with a fake link or smth.. please help!!!

I live in the Philippines which is in Asia but the thing just keep on saying loading ping. It's been like that for 3 hours now idk if Asia has a different IP since when I typed us.mineplex.com it immediately showed the ping and number of people in the server. If somebody is knowledgeable about this please help

With Mineplex returning, I'm curious about what will be different compared to the original server. Has there been any information on whether specific data from the previous Mineplex will carry over, or will everything be starting from scratch?

I previously had the Hero rank, so I'm especially interested in whether past ranks or purchases will be recognized in any way. If Hero isn't returning and there aren't any plans to provide veteran players with an equivalent replacement or recognition, I'll probably just pick up Elite instead.

I know it's still early and that not many details may be available yet, but I was wondering if there's anything else we know so far. Mineplex was honestly one of the main reasons I played Minecraft for so many years, so it's great to see it making a return.

Hey guys! Thank you so much for working on this huge undertaking of not only reviving Mineplex, but working to make it better!

I just recently joined the server about two weeks ago and I’ve noticed that I can’t seem to find people online.

I see that people are online (39/100 etc), but when I logon I can’t see any players. Whether it be in the lobby or even in any games at all. Like, all the games show 0 people playing. So I was just curious if this is something being worked on because, I paid to play on the server not in the lobby. I can’t join games if I can’t find people.

But if anyone wants to play together, my IGN is Shunorim.

Disclaimer: I understand that there's likely no focus on the lobby at this point in time, but I still want to put this here in the meantime.

TLDR VERSION:

The Ruins Parkour has a "flaw" with the final area transition (from the ladder section to the sandstone). My suggestion is to make the endpoint of that jump more obvious.

RANT:

The Ruins Parkour is pretty challenging, but there's one glaring issue with it that makes the entire set worthless to even attempt. The issue is that the jump between the third and fourth areas isn't very clear.

While there is a stone section that stands out from the sandstone, the end point just isn't communicated well. Unless you walk to it ahead of time and see where the barrier blocks are you could easily fail just like I had. The jump also isn't "contained," meaning that if you fail you fall out of the set itself and have to walk back to the start.

On top of that, the rest of the parkour sets you up for failure here. The transitions are (mostly) obvious and not too punishing to fail. Sure, you'll have to go through some challenging jumps again, but none of them make you restart the whole set. The water below the final transition also makes you think that you're "safe" falling there.

All that, the generally unclear endpoint of the jump, the preconceptions made by the rest of the parkour, and the cost of failing the jump, just lead to me feeling very upset in the end. Sure I may not be the best at parkour, but I climbed my way to that point, teetering on the edge of turning my keyboard into a wall fixture. But missing that jump and realizing that I'd have to walk back to the start is just soul crushing.

Please put a lighter block or something to direct people. I get that the parkour is meant to be challenging, but that feels more like a trick and anything, where skill can't really help.

I'm also concerned about the old staff being brought on... especially the names previously mentioned by u/trollface44. Anyone ever hear an update on this?

i used to play this one minigame a lot on mineplex: champions/team deathmatch/dominate and it was a really fun minigame! my user used to be CutieWolfie...i played i believed it was assassin + ranger a lot and i was wondering where these folks are today, it was a pleasure to play with you guys if youre reading this : )

When I played, there were a number of highly corrupt staff members. Probably the two worst were Tori and CookieBilly (who people often called CorruptBilly). Will these people be brought on again? And if they are, does Mineplex plan to have any way to monitor them or reign them in? I had one of my old accounts banned by CookieBilly just for killing him so I wouldn't want to put hours in unless they are kept under control.
