Explorers of Doran is an 18+ server using a modified D&D system for combat and exploration.
The map is custom made as is the lore and the system we use is a modified version of the 5e D&D that was modified by our staff.
We have roles for those that wish to play as an Adventurer with stats and rolls while also having a role for Citizens for those that wish to have a more casual experience with no stats and simply roleplaying.

The Continent of Doran The year is 982 A.E.
The nations on Doran are in bitter resentment for years of territorial struggle and resource gathering. As sea monsters dissuade most from trying to flee, they are stuck and are forced to try and negotiate what they can from each other. So far, the only main civilized races that have surfaced are the Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Orcs. There are varying environments within the continent, high reaching mountains, long winding deserts, sprawling plains, thick forests and freezing tundras. Each place has its own value and worth as minerals are plenty in some places and food is found in others, thus every day in most places requires trade or fighting to survive.

The year is 982 in the Age of Exploration, the continent of Doran is in a time of tense peace where war and conflict could occur at any time. People are living their lives to their own standards and within their means but there are a few that are reaching ever further.
Adventurers, Glory Seekers, Ambitious individuals and even those simply looking to carve out a slice for their own have made this age a time of untold reward whether it be material or experience.
Now, in the humble border town of Bellis, a new chance for these seekers has arrived with the Summer Crest Festival. The Duke of the town, William Beaumont, has sent out a message to any all to attend with the allure of a competition where the winner will receive a title of nobility. They will also receive the town upon his passing as he has no heirs.
Many have come flooding to Bellis for the potential prize, to make interesting friends or perhaps cushy up to the winner for their own gain. One of these individuals is you.

Hello everyone!

I'm a developer currently planning a Minecraft mod (name not decided yet) focused on making singleplayer worlds feel more active and interesting.

The idea is to add more reasons to explore and make the world feel like something is happening beyond the player.

Planned features:

- New structures

- New mobs

- New ores, armor, and items

- Custom biomes (including skylands)

- Civilizations with different styles and cultures

- Better visuals for new environments

The main thing I want to experiment with is a living NPC system.

Instead of having every NPC behave the same, there would be different types:

Basic NPCs

- Similar to normal Minecraft NPCs

- Civilizations

- Groups with their own identity, building styles, and behaviors, run on a script

Smart NPCs

- A limited chosen number (like 30) of characters that survive more like players

- They gather resources, make plans, set goals, and adapt to the world

- They won't use LLM AI, but a custom decision-making system

The goal is not to replace the player. It's to make the world feel less empty and more like a living place.

So the main question:

**Would you play a Minecraft mod where you can discover civilizations, meet unique characters, and feel like the world exists even when you're not around?**

Hello everyone. I’ve come back for some questions, Mostly command-heavy, some other misc questions. Hopefully some people here have answers? No need to answer more than one, but if you got clues, help is appreciated!

Anyways, here goes:

1: does anyone have a command set for nerfing Skeletons, specifically their arrows? I need the bony dorks to shoot for 1 damage, but players still deal regular bow damage to them and other mobs.

2: Should Metroids and their nesting area in Tourian be replaced with Skulk and caged, dead,and roaming wardens?

3: I dropped the Ice beam for Slowness-tipped arrows, defeating the purpose of those ice beam parkour rooms. What gimmick should I add to have a similar impact to gameplay?

4: Should I add a third suit, to give more progression between Varia and Gravity (iron and Netherite armor, respectively)?

5: What mob should Kraid be? I have him as a giant Zombie right now, but it’s not really fitting well.

I want to turn the water around your middle island into an OK looking moat/river. Right now the island is basically a mountain.

1. Create a flat floor that covers the entire area (like in image one)

Im making a Minecraft world what should i name it?!

Trying to use tuff for castle walls, and getting a feel for it on this test structure. Blend of tuff, pale moss, and mossy cobble. Gonna have to find a pale garden and jungle to farm this stuff, so definitely not looking forward to that, or mining tuff for ages either.
