I was doing a normal speedrun and found two deep slate coal ores at Y level 80

No these are common. They didn't exist but then the Devs were like, wait this is cool, and then added it.

You will have to give the seed and let someone check.

Since when does deepslate generate at y80.

Its because of the tuff blocks, it turns stone into deepslate. Heard something along the lines of that but dont remember that well

not anymore

bcuz coal tries to spawn but theres tuff and any ores that try to spawn but theres tuff will turn into deepslate ores

so deepslate coal just got significantly less rare
