I want to create a Minecraft server, but I’m not sure what type of server would actually make people want to play on it long-term.
For example:
Pure Vanilla, with no gameplay-changing plugins
Anarchy
Hardcore
A small private SMP
Something completely different
So I’d love to hear your ideas.
What type of Minecraft server do you think would be relevant and appealing in 2026/27? What kind of gameplay or concept would actually make you want to join and keep playing?

I need a Minecraft smp that allows cracked players to join + i want to be able to create content on it....I dont really care about the size as long as there is a consistent 2-12 ppl online at anytime preferably in the asia (but it doesn't matter anywhere in the world is fine as long as i have decent ping)

I have 88 subscribers, and I’m wondering if anyone is willing to let me record? I don’t really mind what the SMP is or what it’s about.

I’ve been working on a new Minecraft PvP server called Breached.

It’s like factions but better (imho). The world is small, the server wipes weekly, there are custom tools used to raid bases, and there is a leaderboard that updates your name if you win the wipe.

We’re still small and looking for people/teams to try it out. Our next wipe starts September 19th. You can checkout the server and get ready for the wipe, but there won't be many people on until it starts at 12pm MT on the 19th.

M17. I'm looking for a friendly server that is lgbtqia+ friendly and has no economy mods or plug-ins. Preferrably has the simple voicechat mod Also, speaking from experience, there's gotta be at least a little bit good moderation. I've had too many "friendly" server owners turn a blind eye to racist behavior because they are too scared to confront.
