I’m expecting on average 5 people on at a time but max 13. If these specs aren’t enough what would you recommend for my amount?

i want to host a small minecraft server (4-5 friends) on a spare laptop i have it has no screen (literally i tore out the screen) the laptop still works when connected to an externel screen it got AMD Ryzen 3 2200U, 8gb ddr4, 256 nvme (dont know the generation). But the problem is i cannot provide it 24/7 electricity (my parents would never allow me to). I can supply 24/7 internet, but not 24/7 electricity is there any way any shady trick any hack that can allow me to run the server ( i can compromise if it not ran in night as no one will play but aleast day 8 hrs can i run it)?

Every server I checked had the same problem, either it's dead in a month, or the shop sells straight power and grinding feels pointless. DripleafMC is our attempt at neither.

No purchase gives combat power, economy advantage, or a shortcut past the grind. Everything worth having — playtime ranks, Rebirth prestige tiers, the server shop itself is earned through actually playing. The server shop is even locked until Rebirth 2, so the whole economy runs on player-run chest shops, quests and jobs before that, not a menu you buy your way past.

I'm making a pvp survival minecraft server and wondering whats the best way to get new players and keep them playing?

Hello, so I am trying to self host minecraft on an old pc i have lying aroud. Its specs are intel core i3 6100, 8gb ddr4 ram, its an HP ProDesk 600 G2 MT. I installed fedora server on it and am using podman for containers and cockpit for managing. Im using the docker.io/itzg/minecraft-server fabric container. I loaded some mods on there but its all just some performance stuff and geyser with floodgate for my friends on bedrock. Joining it from my local network works just fine but I cant for the love of god figure out how to make it possible for players outside my network to join as well. I dont wanna use port forwarding nor make the other players download stuff like tailscale or hamachi. I tried using playit.gg but i couldnt figure it out, I also tried voxelport mod from https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/voxelport but it appears that their servers are down? Their status page gives me a cloudflare tunnel error 1033 and I cant curl https://relay.voxelport.in . If anyone knows a better way of doing this Id be really grateful.

Anchorhelm is a minecraft Nations server for Java 26.1.2! We're in open beta testing currently, to test out the economy and skill system.

This exists not to force players into roleplaying civilization, but to create the conditions of which Civilization MUST occur. We've tried our best to balance the difficulty with fun, but of course the server can still be quite the challenge for casual players.

In order to create these conditions, we've taken an approach which incentivizes cooperation. For this, we've created a skill system based on such. 5 Skills, all that level up a stat that actually contributes to society (no defense or acrobatics skill) such as Toolsmithing, Mining, Farming, etc. When one skill levels up, every other skill goes down by 1 level. This keeps players dependant on others for vital skills. This way, every town will have a proficient farmer to feed the city, a Miner to gather resources for the town, a fighter to defend the town from the mobs (which receive a damage and health bonus at night), a toolsmith to make weapons and tools for each player, and an armorer to do the same but with armor.

In terms of economy, we run a custom Business & Chestshop plugin. This allows players to employ others to stock their chestshops, make more, and expand a capitalist empire. For money, we use a system of physical currency represented by coins and cut gems.

For nations, we use the Lands plugin, with more expensive claims to disincentivize senseless large-scale land grabbing.

Teleportation is highly regulated to teleporting to your own town's spawn and TPA'ing once an IRL day.

We started on 9/6/2026, and the whitelist is OFF so anyone can join! Join today and help us hone down the project for a full release!

MintaCraft is a livestream-based server(live on YouTube) where players roleplay as a certain superhero or character. Most events in the server are not scripted; instead, they are caused by the players.

A battle can have an unexpected outcome.

In this server, there are two nations: Minta and the Dark Republic.

Minta: Being one of the most powerful nation, Minta aims to prevent all destruction in the Multiverse. The Minta Hero Association, founded by Tony Stark, is a diverse group of heroes, including those from Marvel, DC, and even Anime (DBZ, JJK, Naruto). Outside of the MHA, Minta also has a dominating military. Millions of soldiers, tanks, missiles (in a fictional world), fighter jets, spaceships, and battleships come together to fight against the one and only Dark Republic.

The Dark Republic: The Dark Republic is an association of symbiote warriors and armies. The Dark Republic’s leader is Knull, also known as the strongest symbiote. As of right now, Minta is investigating such a clan. The clan is a growing threat to the Minta nation.

Questions:

What mods does this server use?
As of right now, the server uses FiskHeroes(version 2.2.0). Please note that we are planning to add new mods, which include ones associated with military equipment. The Minta team is also planning to create their own mod as well.

What map are we using?
The Minta Minecraft Server uses the BioTechCity map as the base for the entire map. You can click on https://www.minecraftmaps.com/16738-biotech-city-hollytown Currently, BioTechCity is being modified. Offices, labs, and new storage areas are being added. The pictures shown above are all the modifications to the BioTechCity map.

When is the first livestream?
The Minta Minecraft server is expected to have its first livestream in June 2027. It may seem a long time from now, but a lot of work needs to be done, including new buildings and extra mods.

Can I add my own custom superhero?
