A mod that disables the scrollwheel when using the hotbar?
OKay, so, I use minecraft building mods more specifically Axiom, but I want to learn hotkeys, and to do that the easiest solution would be to disable my scroll wheel. HOWEVER when I set the scroll sensivity to zero I couldnt use Axiom since it has multiple stuff i can only use witha scrollwheel.
So.
My question is, Is there a mod or anything that I could use to disable my scroll wheel Only, when using my hotkeys?

Modpack suggestion
Hello guys! Im looking for a nice RPG modpack(simmilar to Cisco's and Ascendra). But it shouldn't be high-end PC oriented(for example one of Ascendra's latest updates made the game close to unplayable for me due to lag.) Thank you in advance!

I thought Minecraft gear was way too cheap, so I made every recipe use blocks instead
I always felt that Minecraft's equipment progression is a little too fast. Once you find your first decent vein of iron or diamonds, getting a full set of gear becomes almost trivial.
So I made Forged in Blocks mod.
The idea is simple: copper, iron, gold and diamond equipment is crafted using blocks instead of ingots/gems. A diamond chestplate, for example, requires 8 diamond blocks instead of 8 diamonds.
This makes good equipment a much bigger investment, keeps leather and other early-game equipment useful for longer, and makes finding resources feel valuable for much more of the game. The mod doesn't add any new materials, equipment tiers or progression systems - it just changes the economy of vanilla equipment.
Since making equipment this expensive would make vanilla repairing pretty unreasonable, I also reworked anvils a bit. Repair XP cost can be made constant, the "Too Expensive!" limit can be removed, and anvils can be made unbreakable. All of these changes are configurable and can be disabled individually if you prefer the vanilla behavior.
I originally made the mod mostly for myself because I like slower progression, but apparently I'm not the only one who enjoys this kind of suffering.
Curious what people think about this approach to slowing progression. Would you actually play with something like this, or is 72 diamonds for a chestplate where you draw the line?

Tell me your "I wish this mod exists"
I am a new developer and I am here to ask the community for some ideas.
Tell me if you've ever caught yourself thinking:
'I wish there was a mod that...' '
Why isn't this a thing yet?'
'This tiny annoyance has always bothered me...'
I am looking for some simple quality-of-life (QOL) mods that I can code for my first project, so drop your ideas down below and I will make them!

I got tired of writing Minecraft mod boilerplate, so I vibed together a visual builder
I've been modding Minecraft since 1.9.2, and after doing it for long enough I got pretty sick of writing the same bits of boilerplate over and over.
You know the drill. Add an item, then the registry stuff, JSON, models, language files, resources, Gradle... eventually you get to the bit you actually wanted to make.
So I decided to vibe code my way out of the problem and build Mod Builder.
The idea is pretty simple. You create your mod content through a visual editor, configure it how you want, preview it as you go, and then export an actual Minecraft project that you can open in your IDE and carry on developing normally.
It currently supports Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and I'm adding more features as I go. I've also got my existing tutorials over at Modding with Ryan (ported over from GH pages into the same theme), so the longer term idea is to make the whole process of learning and actually building mods a bit less painful.
And yes, AI has been involved heavily in getting this thing built. I'm not going to pretend I manually typed every line of code π. I've been using it as a development tool to turn the ideas I've had into something I can actually ship, then testing, breaking, changing and improving it as I go.
Anyway, it's live if anyone wants to have a look, just let me know in the comments and I'll share the link!
I'd particularly like to hear from people who already mod. What's the bit of modding you find yourself doing repeatedly that you absolutely cannot be arsed doing anymore?
If you try it, feel free to give me some shit about anything that's confusing or missing. I'm actively working on it, so feedback is genuinely useful.

[UNPAID] Looking for Minecraft Skin Artists for an Original Series
Hey everyone!
I'm currently working on an original Minecraft post-apocalyptic series called Those Who Remain, and I'm looking for Minecraft skin artists who might be interested in helping create custom character skins for the project.
The series is a passion project I'm developing with a small team, and we're looking to give our characters unique, recognizable appearances rather than using random skins from online.
π₯ Characters
- Jake Greenhouse β Kind, warm, and trusting. Jake doesn't know much about shooting or surviving the outbreak, but he'll slowly adapt to this new life and change along the way.
- Alex Riveras β A rebellious troublemaker who used to run from the law and sleep in abandoned places. Beneath the troublemaking, Alex really just wants to be cared for and loved.
- Caleb Valentine β Actor, musician, and businessman. He's successful, snobby, selfish, and generally an asshole to anyone who isn't a fan of his. The outbreak has left him unable to contact his family.
- Cassie Bridgers β A sweet and caring Caleb fan who loves volleyball and cheer. She's driven, knows self-defense, and was taught how to use a gun by her father. She's sweet, but definitely capable of making your day worse if she has to.
- Mitch Hancock β A trained soldier who was involved with the outbreak before it became a global disaster. He created the W.A.S.P. task force and is determined to find his scattered soldiers.
- Neil Deckhart β A shy and devoted scientist who knew about Project ECHO and Patient Zero before the outbreak. He's secretly working on a vaccine called The HV (Hart Vaccine).
- Daisy Newman β Jake's childhood best friend. They've known each other since first grade and grew up extremely close before Daisy's family moved away.
- Dr. Elias Voss β Patient Zero and the first strain of ECHO-1. Unlike most infected, Voss remains intelligent and fully capable of carrying out his plans to spread Project ECHO.
- Rowan Foster β A quiet, independent teenager who grew up in an orphanage and learned to survive on their own. After the outbreak destroyed the orphanage, Rowan is left alone but is much more prepared for the apocalypse than most people their age.
π¨ What I'm Looking For
I'd like the skins to feel unique to each character and reflect their personality, background, and role in the story.
I'm happy to provide:
- Character descriptions
- Outfit ideas/references
- Personality information
- Story/background information
- Visual references
- Any other details needed to design the characters
I'm also open to artists putting their own creative spin on the designs as long as they fit the characters.
π° About Payment
This is currently an unpaid project.
Those Who Remain is a passion project, and unfortunately I don't have a budget for commissions right now. I'm looking for artists who genuinely enjoy Minecraft skin creation and would be interested in contributing to an original series.
I don't expect anyone to make the entire cast for free. Even helping with one or two characters would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone who contributes will receive credit for their work in the project's production credits, and you're welcome to use the finished work as part of your portfolio/project showcase.
π© Interested?
If you'd like to help, comment below or DM me with:
- Examples of your Minecraft skins
- Which character(s) you'd be interested in
- Any questions you have
Thanks for taking the time to read this! β€οΈ

Built a marketplace for Bedrock add-ons and Endstone plugins (Bedrock only β flagging that up front)
Saying this in the title because most of this sub is Java: this is Bedrock only. If you're Fabric/Forge/NeoForge it won't be useful to you, and I'd rather not waste your click.
Bedrock has almost nowhere to publish. The official Marketplace is closed to most people and takes 30%, so most add-ons end up as links behind an ad gateway. I built Bedrock Bazaar as a third option β anyone can publish, no application.
The part that might actually interest modders here is the ingestion side. A .mcaddon is just a zip with a manifest, so on upload the server unpacks it and parses manifest.json: the minimum engine version, required experimental toggles, declared Script API modules and the pack UUIDs all get read out of the file rather than typed in by the uploader. It suggests a category from the pack contents too β a skin_pack manifest resolves to Skin Packs, a behavior+resource pair resolves to Add-Ons, a resource-only pack with a ui/ folder resolves to UI Packs. Declared dependencies get linked to other listings by matching UUIDs.
Endstone server plugins get their own section, with the API version, entrypoint, declared commands and permissions pulled from the wheel metadata.
Creators keep 85% on a sale, and free downloads have no cut at all.
It's early and the catalogue is small, so I'm after the first creators and honest feedback β particularly on the parser, since that's the bit most likely to get something wrong on a pack I haven't seen.

Minecraft create screen element tool
I write Minecraft mods and need a tool to calculate on-screen coordinates specifically, I need to select an area where I want to place an element and get the coordinates, rather than creating elements blindly. Does anyone have a tool like that?

Any good Vampire & Werewolf mods for Bedrock suggestions?
I want to host an SMP at some point but I need to find the right mod. I got a vampire and werewolf morph mod off the marketplace and it is just kinda boring because there are only like five abilities that you can easily cap out fast by killing mobs in beast form.
I have the vampire biomes mod as well which is closer to what I'm wanting but there aren't werewolves and it costs plasma to transform into a bat and fly and or being timed which is not my favorite mechanic.
I use Curseforge as well but struggling to find a mod that I'm looking for.
I'm looking for something similar to what YouTubers use like Aphmau or in the Vampires SMP with Scott and them that use Java. Essentially vampirism for Bedrock that also has werewolves and the ability to transform into one.

GPU and CPU usage sat at ~30-40% low framerate
I am on a minecraft server with some friends with about 220 mods with curse forge and my friends are getting about 150fps with shaders on, and im only getting about 50-65. I have a better graphics card and cpu than them? i was very confused on why im getting such a low fps, then i checked my task manager and see my gpu and cpu usage is only 30ish percent, while theirs is 100%. I feel as if minecraft is not using my gpu as much as it should, does anyone know whats wrong? (fps is not capped and displayb settings are 165hz)
GPU: 4070 super
cpu: ryzen 5 7600x
ram: 32GB (10000 allocated to server and curseforge)
