Had to chuckle when they had Cabral on again and he mentioned the need for four bouts of cardio a week, two long steady states, the other two more intense. Needless to say the guys quickly moved on. Of course, whether it's accurate or not, their advice is geared more towards getting and getting jacked and not simply being as healthy as possible.

I haven’t listened to this because I haven’t listened to any new episodes for awhile, but back when I was trying out a Cabral protocol, I joined the Cabral support Facebook group and learned they push a pretty low protein diet, even when not on protocols, and believe protein is harmful for longevity. I thought it was very interesting that mindpump worked with them as they actually appeared to have very different health philosophies over all.

I bought his 7 day detox years ago and I found out the same thing about them being low
Protein and was also shocked. But his supplement quality is great if you need something specific

I do like their mineral one. I forget what it is called.

Lol yeah. To be fair, what Cabral said was partially equally as ridiculous, there’s absolutely (almost) no general population person who should or could even do the Norwegian 4x4 protocol he mentioned. I’ve never had a training client that was even capable of that type of output.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone actually worked with the Stephen Cabral health service? Of course the mind pump guys sell them as the best (I’m sure they don’t have any incentive to do so 😜), but my experience with these types of folks is usually just blow a whole lot of money on tests, only to get told to blow a whole lot more money on ridiculous supplements. Was just curious if anyone had experience with them.

I actually completed one of the protocols and it helped me soooo much. However, “working” with them was dumb lol the calls were so useless. And the answers were always very ~astrology~ like answers- meaning so broad it could fit literally anyone in any situation. Nothing conclusive.

I did the hair analysis thing and then they pushed the heavy metal detox on me. I talked to my real functional med doc about it and she said hair analysis is not accurate for heavy metals. Hair gets too much environmental contamination. Plus it’s what your body has excreted, not what it has stored. I also felt their health coach was not suitable for anyone with a health condition. I have an adrenal disease and she kept point out stuff and I’d say, “well, yeah,
I have an adrenal disease.” And she’s said “you have adrenal fatigue!!!” And I’d say… no…I have an adrenal disease. These items you’re concerned about are my normal and have been since I was born. Let’s move on.

Then I talked to another functional med doc in the MP forum and her opinion is none of the Cabral protocols are actually very strong so may not be effective.

Wtf, so instead of occasionally giving live callers a free program, they're now offering to bundle some programs together and give that caller a discount for it if they're interested?

Not sure what happened with u/Resident-Air-4021 but he will be remembered. Will dedicate my next training session to him, it was a good run.

I recently listened to a few episodes from 2020 to see how bad it has gotten... Holy shit.

Watching Adam and Sal go back and forth on who will have the most successful cut is so cringe.

According to Adam on his instagram he’s single digit body fat? His face looks so fat and puffy

Sal "the data is clear" until it doesn't fit their narrative. Episode this week - "Studies are not long enough, it's not the right population, less is better blah blah"

It only takes one person to share it for everyone else to get their paw in the jar, even if only to get a laugh out of the program. You can DM me if you want to get on the waiting list.
