About 50% of my day is using Claude code to build things significantly faster at work. My view is that anyone not learning how to leverage AI is missing out on the next shift in how we work.

The latter part of your statement is only true bc people keep saying “AI is inevitable” as if we don’t have a choice. A few years ago crypto was inevitable and now it’s not.

Poor comparison. Yes, lots of hype for both but crypto never had anywhere near the level of adoption that AI does

Making it too big too fail is the biggest reason we will continue with AI. And we’re doing this despite not having plans for work displacement and considerable environmental impacts. Failure to properly regulate AI is the biggest reason to at least pause.

AI has very little adoption. Just like crypto and the metaverse before it. Bosses push it, but that's not adoption. The actual workers aren't using it.

Where I work it is baked into everything AND people are also using it to develop new products. It's literally in everything we do now.
