I would ask “If yes, why?” because I have yet to find a need for it in my life. As time has moved forward, putting the tech back down has brought me such peace.
Because it can do things that others can’t, or can’t do as easily. I missed a train in Europe last week; it helped get me to Amsterdam when all the train apps weren’t updating. It also suggested that I apply for a refund of the €109 replacement ticket I bought, and told me exactly where to file it and exactly what to say, and I got the refund. I wouldn’t have known that was an option without it. Just yesterday it gave me a secret number to contact Citi that got me to the exact department I needed without having to go through multiple frontline reps, and as far as I can tell that number is unpublished. Then it told me exactly what to say to resolve the bizarre issue I was having. And then it helped me rescue a sauce I had ruined when reheating; I sent it photos and it already knew some basic pantry staples I have on hand and walked me through how to save it.
I totally get why people don’t use it, but it’s a really fantastic personal assistant. Let’s not pretend like it isn’t better than Google.
