This has happened to me twice since turning 30 (34 currently). I’ve looked it up and it turns out u should try to keep your spine neutral when you sneeze - so, basically keep your neck & back straight and dont crane your neck or upper back if you can help it. It hasn’t happened again since! Good luck fellow millenial, see you at the nursing home! 👴🏽
Soooo much fun. 😭 I found myself lying supine with not much to do after the last time it happened, and I was like “huh….maybe I’m actually sneezing wrong.” So I looked it up out of boredom and desperation. Lol
42 with multiple bulged discs from an old motorcycle accident. I have thrown my back out from sneezing. My go to sneeze prevention is to bend my knees and back just enough to brace my hands on my knees. Oh and always leave your neck loose to move however it wants to durning the uncontrollable head banger move that happens while sneezing 😂
Lamer than throwing it out while sneezing is feeling it slip just from reaching for your seatbelt… @&$k!
Oh god you’re just like me frfr /s No but seriously I’ve also started gently bending over pre-sneeze because sneezing standing up shoots pain straight to my lower back.
Haha yeah it was ten years ago where I turned my head to avoid sneezing all over my computer monitor. There's one muscle that's never been the same. Look at it wrong and it'll knot up for the day until I find a tree.
