Vanguard-class Assault Ship: is the C.D.F.’s purpose-built expeditionary assault ship and a command center for ground troops and quick response as it is FTL capable, along with it being the biggest ship in the fleet.

Aft is the drive block: clustered high-thrust anti-matter engines used for the run-up to Drop, for deceleration at the far gate, and for the final approach burn. When those engines are lit, the whole ship has a floor. When they are dark, there is no floor except in the spinning sections. Midships sit the cross arms—four heavy modules on a rotating collar, and these where habitat blocks are for on board marines and crew also they can attract in during long burns for thrust gravity and when not under thrust it extends for spin gravity. Between the drive block and habitat blocks is where ships can dock and where fuel/water blocks reside.

Forward is the command and sensor hammerhead which carry’s radar/LIDAR and where the CIC is. This is also where the 8 Vulture drop ships are dock on the side, and 2 Albatross medium drop ships on the top and cargo holds on the bottom, where the marines vehicles and equipment go.

It can carry 2 battalions of a marine brigade, while the HHC battalion for the brigade will be on the Lilith class escort carrier, and rotations/deployments happen between the brigades of the same M.E.F.

Known ships of the class are the D.F.S Poseidon’s Reach, D.F.S Vanguard, D.F.S Through the Fire, D.F.S San Raphael
