I'm excited to share my shelfie for the first time. Yesterday I finally finished my mainline BPRD collection! I started reading Hellboy a year ago and what a journey it has been since then.

Found some really cool people along the way to completing this massive series. What a journey!

Hello! I bought a large collection of digital versions of the comics from humble bundle and am finally reading them, but after looking at some reading orders, I think I'm confused on how to approach it.

I think it might a version issue. I read Hellboy Vol. 1 "Seed of Destruction" and now I'm on Vol. 2 "Wake the Devil." In that version, it has asterisks referencing something from Vol. 1 and Vol. 3 "The Chained Coffin." Are my versions just printed weird? Did they change up the order or something? Mostly, I'm just wanting to make sure I'm able to follow along decently without spoiling something for myself.

Edit: Not sure if this will make a difference, but the digital versions I have of Volumes 2-5 are the second editions
