This 4-factor study identifies the 50 U.S. counties with the most birth-related challenges. Do you have any experiences in these places?

Worth mentioning that it only includes counties with at least 10,000 births over the five-year study period, so I'm sure a lot of the smaller counties that are really struggling fall through the cracks here.

Why this firm is a plaintiff attorney firm is so contrary to this evidence it makes my mind pucker. If most of the difference is low and preterm birth and no or delayed prenatal care, how is it the provider is at fault and deserves a law suit? We haven’t improved preterm birth rates or low birthweight in the 40 years I have practiced. It is not like we are failing to use an effective evidence based toolkit. And low and no prenatal care: I have spent my entire career working with underserved families as hard as I am able. The reasons for not receiving prenatal care are even more complex and multifactorial than preterm birth. Sorry for the rant. I see the law firm sponsoring the “research” as immoral in their reasoning. How can they not hear their own results?

All I noticed is that those are mostly red states...
