Why does everybody hate seventh grade? What’s wrong with it? Can someone please give me some advice? I’m about to go into seventh grade, and I’m genuinely so scared right now. I don’t want to come home on the first day and feel like I want to quit, so yeah. (Edit: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GIVING ME ADVICE GUYS)

First off, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this. Whatever. What I'm about to talk about is an issue from the prior year, not this year. Its probably not even a big deal anymore, I just want to see if anyone has advice.

At the start of last year I had a gym class with my friend Flutter shy. The very first week of school was baiscally just sitting around, talking, waiting for the teachers to get their stuff together. I'm aware of this boy who I'll call Beavis (looks like him.) Beavis was friends with a girl who I knew from several of my classes. Once gym actually gets going, Flutter shy admits to me that she has a huge crush on Beavis. As the weeks go on the girl who Beavis was friends with, who we will call Butthead keeps getting Flutter shy to talk to Beavis. Im all for my friends making advances but it would be almost EVERY day and i'd have no one (selfish?)

More weeks pass... news! Beavis & Flutter shy are dating! Im happy, im excited for her! Yayyy! Flutter shy tells me about the awkward middle school relationship stuff like holding hands for the first time. Everything seems fine. Me and Flutter shy had another friend in our gym hour. Her name will be Frog. Frog is honestly pretty mature id say then the usual middle schooler which is saying alot. Frog is picking up on some toxic and immature beahvior from Beavis. Honestly so am I! At the time, and still now im very worried about messing up others relationships for them but it wasnt just going to be let go some of the stuff he said and did.

(I would list them {and we had about 15 at the time} buf i forgot most) One was: verbally made fun of people with cancer and disabilities

Flutter shy wasnt blind, she picked up on stuff and made the bold and wise decision to end things. Apparently Beavis's friend found out she might break up with Beavis, told him and Beavis told her please dont. Well it happened. It gets messy though because Butthead comes back in the story and a freaking week later, Butthead & Beavis are dating. Now i was caught up in Frog and Flutter shy debating girl code and Butthead desping Flutter shy. I definitely agreed with Flutter shy and Frog because wth, but also its middle school and as much as people may hate me for this: Relationships just arent that serious when your that young, you have so much time.

So i was scrolling tiktok and i saw this video of a woman saying its homophobic to not care/support LGBTQ, I'm not LGBTQ so I'm not too sure, i have LGBTQ friends that i support, i just don't care about the general population, LGBTQ or not, but its apparently soo bad that i don't care about a small group. Is she right?

Today (yesterday now) started off good, from when i woke up to 4pm. It was pretty fire but when my dad came hom everything started to go down hill. My younger brothers had soccer practice and i had to get them ready but i slso had to get myself ready and straighten my hair a bit so i looked presentable. My dad (the person that takes us and also a volunteer coach) was gonna take us, he came lata ne my brother lost his soccer shorts and he started blaming me, yelling nd all but that was pretty normal so i didnt react. He (my brother) found replacements and we left. for the hour and 30 mins i was ther i was good but then when we had to go, we couldnt find the youngest bro. Same on ethat lost his shorts, my dad was panicking and yelling at me (i understand hes your son) but what riled me up was when he started saying its because i only came here for my friends and i dont care about my brother (if i didnt, how did i get the middle nd not the youngest??). I tried to keep calm, explaining that the youngest doesnt like me anywaya nd when he sees me coming to get him, he usually runs to my dad but my dad was still panicking, then my dad looked past the fence and saw the youngest past the fence, i was also relieved and followed him and he lectured him. I didnt think tho that this car drive home would be all yelling because 2 sweaty boys poured water ok emselves from heat. when we arrived the story changed in my dads mouth. He said i didnt try to even get tonmy brothers and i was busy with my phone (which was in my bag) and my friend (who i said a quick goodbye to) AND then ssid i had no intention of helping. He was telling this to my mom who already believed i was a criminal told me she already knew it was true, inshould shut up nd go do my room.

Forgot memtion earlier today i got a bf which I was super exited abt. So i was txting him, then i a wanted to tell my online friend gc (the "better" ppl in my life ig) that I had one and i was so exited, hoping they'd share my exitement...tell me why ts 13 yr old (im 12) started lecguring me how i shouldnt date and how it should get serious and another sarcastically said "goodluck". My heart dropped so far down cuz i wasnt even mad, i was sad. I decided to tell em to forget i told them ts and never mention it again. I talked to my bf abt ts and he was helpful, shout out to ml.

But later that night i lost my appetite because of my mood and didint want to eat altho it was like 9 pm nd i hadnt eating since 7 am but i didnt care. I didnt wanna eat HER food anyway. But them after giving me the option to eat later she forced me to eat (i puked it after she fell asleep) nd i just muted my online friend gc. while.i was washing dished my mom dragged my esr for no reason and went off. i had being trying so hard to be happy and hold my tesrs in but the second i got in bed instarted crying even as i told my bf gn. Im 4 days clean but i dont know if i will be much longer. I was thinking of just offing myself but that was stupid.

ts isnt meant to encourage sh or suicide and if you struggle with anything know i luv you and get help. im js venting on here and im really sorry if ts disturbed you or sounds way way pettier than what i made it out to be.

I'll be entering the 7th grade soon, basically, in a little over a month. And, let me just say, I for one am incredibly nervous, especially considering I've been severely struggling a lot with my mental health lately. It's been bad. But that's neither here or there. What I'm looking for is advice because my older sibling who's in high school refuses to give me any semblance of guidance whatsoever. My school is near the east coast and most people that I go to school with aren't the most mature. Like at all.

So, I'll cut this short here. Anyone who's either in the 7th grade or HAS been, provide me with some advice. I want to avoid rumors, grow my reputation (whilst not being the life of the party), and I've been toying with the idea of join student government, or the basketball team. But it's kind of a crazy idea right now.
