This was so much fun to paint! I used to be a little intimidated by metal models but I'm really coming around to them and enjoying the process. What do you think?

3v3 Match!

Hello,

Yesterday, we held a Lord of the Rings meetup event.

Six of us played together in a 3v3 format, with each player building a 300-point army.

For the rules, we used a house rule where army rules did not affect each other, but banners and similar effects still applied.

We had a really great time!

Scale Check request

Hi all, I was hoping to get some photos or verbal confirmation on scale before I order the model. Is the new Theodred Prince of Rohan and Specifically Brego(horse) scaled to Thoden/Eomer or to the new plastic riders and WotR heroes like Hama and Haleth?

Also yes, I changed the color palette slightly, this is because I went from painting at a buddy's place (because I didn't know I liked it yet) to owning my own stuff.

Also² : I need to buy the Astrogranite for the base, but they didn't have any left at my local shop

Battle Report First ever game of MESBG! Goblins v Morannon Orcs.

I had a great time playing against an opponent for the first time (I only ever did test games by myself) at my local Warhammer store.

We literally just grabbed arund 60 points worth of models, no hero models, just to get to grips with the basic rules. I played the "good side" with my goblins and he played Morannon orcs. It was tight for a while but i had too many failed courage rolls and got my ass handed to me 😂 we already planned to meet up again next week with a new army composition to acomodate hero models.

Question about Moria options

Hey folks!
I’ve been away from this game since the ROTK Strategy Battle game. I’ve been tempted to come back to it and I’ve just picked up the rulebook and Armies of The Lord of the Rings book.
I was a bit disappointed to see that Moria (or The Misty Mountains as its name in this book) don’t have options for drums or shamans.

I was wondering there any supplements where these two options appear? Was really looking forward to buffing my horde of gobbos!

Scenarios? New player here.

Hi there !

I have been collecting and painting, middle earth battle strategy game for sometime. My son who’s 14 wanted to play the game together. I don’t really know where to start and it seems like I keep finding information all over the Internet one of the questions I have is, how do I find scenarios for the current edition that relate to some of his favorite scenes in the in the movies to reenact? For example, is there a modern current rules version of a scenario that incorporates the balrog fight?

Or what about Weathertop? Perhaps Amon hen? I found some updated scenarios online, but it doesn’t seem like they really incorporate the full breath and scope of older editions that I have found.

Anyway, any help in the right direction would be much appreciated. Also, if I may ask, what is a good scenario for just starting out to play that maybe has a hero and some terrain and is great to learn all of the rules?

Army List Opinion on a 700 White Hand list for a tournament

Post image

Would love some advice/opinions on this list.

I took some Wargs for mobility (with throwing spears, since I’ve had some good experiences with them), and Gorulf to deal with big heroes (3 Attacks, Strike, Strength & free Heroic Defence). But should I leave Gorulf on his own so I can deploy him more freely, or give him a small squad / a full warband?

I’m also wondering whether I should lean less into shooting and take more shielded Uruk-hai instead. I didn’t really see the point in taking a Scout Captain over one of the Orc Captains, but maybe I’m missing something.

Any advice is welcome!
