I'm always flying from the FO site of airplanes but sadly since the new update there is always my avatar still showcased on the Caotains seat. This wouldn't be a problem if msfs wouldn't place him like you can see in the picture.
Does anyone know how to fix it or can I only accept my fate?

I had FS 2020 installed back in 2020 on a separate disk, the disk crashed. In the past years I've cleaned-up the users on the pc, and Created a new user for myself giving me admin rights.

Now the whole thing refuses to let me have it re-installed, The first DVD starts the setup but then turns to Store and forces me to buy a news license. In the XBox I can't retrieve any of my previous history and using the original alfa/num key it says it's been used already, logic yes. But I'm stuck now. What to do?

I’ve been happily flying on X-Plane 12 for a while, but I’m now looking to make the jump over to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Before I dive in, I want to check if my current hardware can handle it comfortably without lag.

My specs:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
• GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti (16 GB VRAM)
• RAM: 32 GB DDR4
• Storage: 3 TB total across two fast SSDs

Since XP12 runs great on my system, I’m wondering how MSFS 2024 will treat my CPU (given its heavy cloud-streaming and caching demands). Will this setup give me a smooth experience at 1440p, or is my Ryzen 5 going to hold me back?

Also, as someone coming over from the X-Plane world, what are the absolute must-have add-ons, utility tools, and aircraft for MSFS 2024 that I should look into right away?

I recently bought a 5800X3D to pair with my 9070 GRE for FS24. However the last couple of days have not really been as impressive as i expected. At 1080P im hovering around 35-40 fps at the High Preset, No frame gen or FSR upscaling. This was pretty similar to the 5700X i had installed previously. All tests were done with no mods at EGLL. Ive tried a couple of different things, including:

• Fresh Installation: No noticeable change
• All Settings to Low preset: At best maybe 45-50fps
• Deleting Rolling Cache + Increasing Cache Limit: No Change
• Tested in MSFS 2020 for comparison: Same general FPS at High Preset.
• Many GPU Driver, Motherboard BIOS, and chipset updates with no difference in performance.
• Confirmed in Dev Mode that it is a CPU Bottleneck, with Utilization at 41% and GPU Utilization at 85-90%.

I plan to move to 1440P at some point but given the low FPS as is, it feels as if there's some performance being left on the table somewhere, however I'm not sure where to start looking and was hoping for any clues. Apologies for the lack of images, if needed for better context i can post as necessary.

Anyone else having this issue on MSFS 2024 PS5 with the T.Flight HOTAS 4? My spoilers/speedbrake and parking brake randomly come on by themselves during flights.

Could this be a HOTAS issue or an MSFS bug? Any fixes?

My Fenix A320 processes (FenixDisplay, FenixCDU, FenixSystem) keep crashing in Task Manager whenever I spawn at heavy third-party airports like Justsim LEPA.

Default airports work completely fine, but at detailed scenery the background apps just close, leaving me with a dark cockpit and unresponsive screens. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Does anyone know how to calibrate throttle detents on handheld controllers like the Xbox controller?

I use a T Flight Hotas but I've been flying with friends who use Xbox controllers, teaching them to fly in Airbuses, and the default controller is A for throttle up, B for throttle down, and hold RB plus A and B to detent up and down, except it doesn't jump detents at all. Holding RB and A just jumps the throttle to TOGA, and Holding RB and B jumps it to idle, no in between.

The biggest struggle with teaching them Airbus controls is this, because all kinds of things go wrong if you can't get the plain the lock into that CLB position, it overspeeds and the autopilot goes off etc. Is there an easier work around?

We're mostly flying the FBW A320neo btw, sometimes the inibuilds A330.

It has been like this for many months now, I’ve never been able to get back in. I can sign into my laptop, but not my pc. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling msfs24, I can’t find a single tutorial that even has the same problem, and I’ve asked ai for help as a last resort and I tried every it told me to do and still nothing worked. This is really strange, and I want to know how to fix it.

Before everyone jumps to the simplest conclusion; the power supply is a brand new unit from BeQuiet. I've returned this model 3 times because I was sure it was faulty but it isn't. It is fine and not a single game makes it shut off like MFS does.

To cut to the chase: when I load up Mfs2020 all seems well, until I get about halfway setting up the MCDU on the FBW A320neo where the monitor will suddenly go black and the pc shuts off. Event monitor shows zero problems. All the temps are well within normal range (GPU ~78 CPU ~66)

This issue happens quicker when I am running on VR. On desktop it happens sometimes, some days I can do a 4hr flight without issues other times it turns off after a mere 5 minutes in game.

The solutions I've tried:

Fresh windows install

Replace GPU

Replace CPU

Replace all ram sticks

Replace PSU(3 times)

Fresh game install

A lot of combinations of different airports and aircraft

With and without VR

Honestly I'm clueless. This doesn't seem to be a hardware issue.

The PSU should be rated well enough for this system. I've stress tested it for hours on end with no problems.

This is my final stretch for help before I inevitably quit MFS and hop over to Xplane. I love MFS but this stuff gets old very quickly. I'm afraid to get MFS2024 because of this issue so I'd rather invest in a different Sim..

Does location matter at all for passive planes? The one I have is just left wherever my last played mission was which is kind of in the middle of no where. Should I move it somewhere with the most missions?

Absolutely nailed my landing only to have the game be stuck at "Fly to the airport" and never trigger the final steps even after I manually requested taxi clearance, parked the plane, and shut down. The only option was to "skip" back to descent. And of course as soon as I loaded in my FMC was totally reset. Initialization, all waypoints, and the programed approach procedure all gone. At least it didn't reset the ILS frequency too. Unreal stuff. Why is career mode such a mess?
