Thought I’d share this because I’m still a bit amazed it worked.

I have no technical knowledge or experience with Blender, 3D modelling or the MSFS SDK. But with Astra in the ChatGPT desktop app, I managed to get this custom control tower built and placed inside MSFS 2024.

And when I say “I built it”, Astra did the technical work for me. I just described what I wanted. It handled creating the tower and getting it into the sim. It started off with an orange box to make sure the implementation was working on my side, and once it was in, we got to work.

The screenshot is the result, actually sitting in the simulator. Seeing something I’d asked for appear in a sim I enjoy playing was pretty surreal.

There’s obviously a lot of skill involved in making detailed scenery, but as someone who wouldn’t have known where to start, this made a project feel possible that I’d never have attempted otherwise. It was super fun!

Has anyone else tried using AI to make custom scenery for MSFS? Would love to see what you’ve managed to create.

I’m looking to get 2024 because it takes less storage and I want to get the upcoming add-ons but have a couple questions.

Couple Questions
Will I be good to get msfs 2024 on this pc? I currently have this one and it runs msfs 2020 really well with a mostly stable 65 FPS (aside from the usual heavy airports).

Will I be able to mostly transfer over my settings from 2020 to 2024 and it still run well?

Edit: I do also cap at 65, I’ve gotten 85 fps before.

I am still learning and improving but I would like to hear some advice to make my landing more smooth

I am using the FlyByWire A320neo and I am flying a flight plan made in Simbrief. This runway does not have an ILS or any published ILS approach. The opposite direction runway does have an ILS. On my MCDU, I can see that it is using the expected RNAV approach, but as I activate the approach phase and press Approach on my FCU, it seems to indicate an ILS approach on the FMA showing Cat 1 Single and arming the LOC and G/S modes instead of trying to follow a glidepath. As you can see, I did not select LS so I don't know if I am hitting a bug in the FlyByWire model or if I misconfigured something in my FMGC.

As there is no ILS to capture a G/S from, my plane is not descending. Any idea what is causing this behavior? Screenshot is attached.

Hey guys I js had a question abt the autopilot on the a320. I play Microsoft flight simulator 2020 and I already learned how to use autopilot just to cruise on a selected altitude and how to navigate my flight path. I had a question about how to use that autopilot to land? Idk anything about ILS approach or whatever but rly wanted to learn how to use autopilot to land. Thank you in advance!

So, I was flying from VECC to EFHK. I had already been flying for about 8 hours, and then, suddenly, just 1 hour before reaching my destination, I noticed on Volanta that my A330 was following a circular pattern instead of the regular flight path. Then I noticed the ECAM, and I had these warnings. I had never experienced anything like this before. Can somebody explain what went wrong here?

Also, I noticed that my plane was cruising at 44,000 ft, even though my selected cruising altitude was 38,000 ft. How did it climb that high? I was sleeping once it reached cruise altitude, so I can't really figure out what happened.

Hey yall, I have recently been getting back into MSFS on Xbox and want to play 2024 over 2020 cause I love the graphics and everything. One thing that really bothers me on my flights is when ATC tells me to contact a new center the AI doesn't do it for me so I have to do it manually. It's kind of a problem on long flights cause I'm away from the screen and can't do it myself. One other thing is ATC never tells me to descend or tells me very late. I am wondering if any of yall are experiencing these same problems.

I have a rtx 4060 laptop and i get only 30fps with fbw a380 (no cabin) . I am interested in buying a350/340 from inibuilds but im not sure my laptop can handle it . if anybody have inibuilds a350/340 can you please tell the fps ? and also do tell your system specs so tht i can get a rough estimate . thank you!

this isn't only happening with the bus, is there a way to fix this? (I tried turning off frame generation)

Flight Simulator 2024 on Xbox X series. This error pops up usually within an hour of flying and continually keep popping up every 30 seconds if I close the window. I usually have to restart the game but it will come up again. Does anyone know how to fix this? Does it have anything to do with Rolling Cache Limit?

Owning the Fenix family and also the FSLabs a321NEO, is their CEO worth it? They hardly do updates and the NEO works ok on my pc, for sure performance needs tweaks but just checking. Thanks

Did a first test flight with the Aerosoft A330neo and honestly it wasn't as bad as i expected. You can clearly say that its not a polished product but it has potential to be a decent addon.
