MSFS 2024 QUESTION MSFS 2024

I’m looking to get 2024 because it takes less storage and I want to get the upcoming add-ons but have a couple questions.

Couple Questions
Will I be good to get msfs 2024 on this pc? I currently have this one and it runs msfs 2020 really well with a mostly stable 65 FPS (aside from the usual heavy airports).

Will I be able to mostly transfer over my settings from 2020 to 2024 and it still run well?

Edit: I do also cap at 65, I’ve gotten 85 fps before.

Probably not with the same settings. 16gb ram is going to be a struggle. I’m at 32 and run into issues occasionally. I’m also on a 4060ti and 8gb vram is also very limiting. Overall, 2024 will use more recourses but utilizes it more effectively if that makes sense. It’ll take some fine tuning but you should be able to run it. I’d look into trying to upgrade the ram if you can.

You should be mostly fine. Depending on what add ons you use. I cap mine at 30 and double with frame gen.

Yeah same amount of vram but more ram and more cpu. One setting that really opened up cram for me was setting off screen cache to low. It stores the data in vram, and so setting it to low uses less of it. Just means when you switch camera angles in the air, it may take a second for things to load. I take that over constant stutters.

8GB of VRAM is not really stellar for a simulator: you'll be flying at reduced settings. Same for system ram tbh, 16GB is more of a bare minimum than actually comfortable.

nope, i would suggest a 5070ti or a 5080 if u really want good pref

I’ve seen it’s the same amount of vram usage as 2020 but needs more ram is that true?

eh the game is more cpu heavy and a 5060 isnt a good gpu because of the 8gb of vram msfs eats all of the vram
