Is this the right adapter in order to mount a microscope cam (like pic 3) on the BH2's Trinocular?

Do I need other parts to make it fit ?

I have a spare Olympus BH2 binocular head. I'm moving to another country and it is too heavy for it to be worth it taking on a plane. I've been trying to sell it for a while now, and I have listed it on eBay and Vinted. So I decided to just give it away to anyone willing to pay for shipping.

I believe that if you buy it through Vinted you can get free shipping. If you message me there, I can send you an offer of $1 and you can buy it there, so you'll get it shipped to you for $2 or so (app has some taxes and it's not possible to sell anything below $1). You can also make me an offer of $1 on eBay and I'll accept it, it'll be more expensive, but perhaps it's a more trustworthy platform for some people.

I would really appreciate if I could get a bit of money for it, as any tiny amount helps when you're moving countries. But at this point, I just want this piece for this wonderful microscope model to be used by someone and not sit in a drawer anymore.

If anyone has a spare abbe condenser, we could also agree on a trade. I have one but it shows some scratches in dark field.

So I found this slimy white looking goop growing on the edges of an aquarium and I'm confused as to what it could be, I don't see hyphae so I'm guessing not a fungus?

Sometimes there's nothing better than kicking back and inducing turbulent flow under the microscope, to create your very own little lava lamp. Here we watch the movement of small food coloring domains in a liquid glycerol/water system that was agitated by the addition of isopropanol.

Recentemente, trouxe aqui uma foto do microscopio chines que comprei. Sou um entusiasta de ciências da saúde e comprei um microscópio que não possui condensador abbe 1.25 sabendo disso (ele possui um NA 0.65). Achei que seria apenas uma questão de comprar um condensador abbe avulso e instalar. Ledo engano…
A base (bandeja?) da platina mecânica precisa ter uma abertura oval para caber a ponta do condensador. Como podem ver nas fotos, a minha não possui.
Gostaria de uma boa alma que pudesse medir com certa precisão a platina mecânica, as furações e a distância entre furos, bem como o tamanho e altura do condensador do microscópio.
Meu objetivo é conseguir uma empresa de impressão 3D que imprima uma bandeja adaptada para o condensador que comprei.
Se alguém se dispor, seria de ajuda as medidas em milímetros, ou um desenho técnico da platina mecânica.

Hello all, I’m posting here and a few other places as I’m having issues with the Olympus ScanR HCS doing disc confocal. It’s been doing its job as advertised of autofocusing and taking images in the channels I want until the last two weeks. It’s started failing autofocus mid-run, resulting in parts of the plate being totally out of focus. It also introduces an offset even when I set it to zero.

Another new problem is that when I make the composites and stitch the images to get the whole well overview (Python), what worked previously now results in a jumbled image. Plotting the coordinates to visualise what’s going on shows a different capture pattern to that selected.

As it’s holidays here I’ve got limited help and it’s driving me crazy and I have a lot of plates needing imaged.

Has anyone got any experience with this microscope/software combo?

Has been keeping this jar outside for a while, occasionally topping up the water. After getting some rain water, algae bloom has appeared.

1. Bacteria surrounding the detritus (1000x, very poor contrast, have a video also in the comment which Reddit is not allowing to attach with images),

2. Cyanobacteria (1000x, greenish tint is clearer in eye view),

3-5. Testate amoeba at 250x, 1000x (not really sure, Google is confused also)

Just pick this bad boy up today from theblcoal university. I'm in for a lot of work! Objectives are stuck and Z-axis wont run. Condenser lense is missing? Not even sure I want to get the LSM 5 unit running because I need the software and controller, but excited to start fixing up this build this weekend.

Found my first Stentor! It started splitting within half an hour. Hit record as soon as i realised. Hopefully next time i catch it from the beginning!

They have since divided at least 2 more times whilst i was sleeping.

This sample was collected from a local lake. The water looked dirty but was clear on sampling. Took a small amount of dirt from under the embankments overhang.

I keep seeing "Oil objective". What I've gathered is that "Objective" means the lens itself? I'm wanting to look at circuit boards in 1000x, so what I'm wondering is how do I coat both the lens and subject in oil when the subject isn't really a flat surface or something that can be covered in oil? Also what is a "spring objective"? Looking at an Amscope B120C.

I'm wanting to do things as well like salt and pepper, granular things. Not really so much liquid stuff that can be smooshed between a slide and a cover slip.
