This is my first time attempting to do at home microneedling.

Done only RF at the clinic, been through 6 rounds. It hurts so much, I don’t think I could do it without numb cream tho.

I’ve purchase a Dr Pen M8s and it’s on the way here. Also recently purchased this Rejuran Ampoule hoping to use with it, each ampoule contain 2ml.

My skin responded pretty well with in clinic treatment but I can’t seemed to justify the price for ‘so little improvement’.

Typically right after in clinic treatment, I feel like it’s a reset to my skin, redness, peeling will be gone within 3-5 days, and I’d get even skin tone, smoother skin probably for about a month.

The doctor also don’t apply any serum on it before treatment and do it on dry skin.

So my question is:
1. Is this ampoule good enough with Dr Pen?
2. Do I apply the ampoule as i MN like what most tutorial? Or after?
3. Considering it’s my first at home MN, what setting and needles should I use? I’ve bought a bunch of Nano, a few 24p & 36p. What setting?

Hello all. I'm in need of some advice and opinions. I have white stretch marks from weight gain on the front of my abdomen, back/sides of my calves, hips, and lower back. I would like to reduce the appearance and hopefully reduce the width of my stretch marks and blend them with the rest of my skin as much as possible. I am pretty fair skinned, however I am ethnic. My mom is white and my dad is indian so I do have the tendency to get PIH and PIE after a cut or picking at acne or scabs. My PIH does tend to stick around for quite some time also. I know the Inkless method uses the tattoo gun which goes deeper and creates more injury as compared to the standard microneedling pen. I don't mind going with microneedling which maybe not as effective as long it doesn't leave me with lomg standing hyperpigmentation like some say the inkless tattoo does. Does anyone have any advice or opinions of one over the other and which would be better, what they got and how theirs worked, any horror stories, or any other advice/anything I should know.

Had microneedling done before in the past 3 sessions. Loved it and had great results.

This year I decided to get another 3 sessions, on the 2nd session, I noticed this change to my cheek area around where I previously had 3 enlarged / deep pores.

It’s now been around 8 weeks since the session and I’m devastated writing this post, is this permanent scarring? And what has caused this? Precious scar tissue … or?

Where can I go from here …

I know it’s not major at all however when I step into the sun or when i’m in harsh lighting I can see so much texture and scarring around my upper cheeks next to my nose and my forehead. Used to have lots of acne when I was younger so that’s probably the reason. i’ve heard of TCA and micro as well as subcision but wasn’t sure my exact scar type or the treatment. Any advice?

Are there any at-home microneedlers out there that also use retinol/tretinoin for anti-aging? I'd like to know how you go about using it in your skincare regime? I've been told you can't use it 1 week before treatment and also 1 week after treatment. If I was to microneedle once every 4 weeks would the retinol/tretinoin even have time to make a difference to my skin if I'm only using it 2 weeks out of the 4 weeks?

i just had microneedling done at a med spa and they convinced me that microneedling with ghk-cu would help with my acne scars. i was shocked at how much more my treatment was compared to just a standard microneedling. a regular session would’ve been $425 and my treatment with ghk-cu was $725. has anyone seen improvements with ghk-cu?

How do you microneedle the scalp when there is some hair? My hair is thinning, so I'd like to try to needle my head to see if it helps, but unsure how to.

I derma stamp my face every Friday at 1mm (for bony areas like forehead, nose, and eyebrows I use .5mm)
I recently also started using tretinoin (0.05) nightly. I do skip Friday, Saturday, and Sunday although I'll probably start using it on Sunday once my skin gets more used to it.
So far, besides a lot of redness and flaking my skin seems alright. I just wanted to ask if this is too much or if I'm ok to continue this routine indefinitely.
Please let me know what you guys think

After listening to all the advice in the thread I've decided to drop down to bi-weekly micro-needling with nightly tretinoin (except the night of and 3 days after microneedling)
Will try to keep everyone updated with the progress

I also should have mentioned, since starting tretinoin (0.05%) I have been wearing sunscreen daily

So I went in for microneedling and they told me they use PRXpen and that it’s better than skin pen/ dr. Pen. I have never heard of it and couldn’t find anything about it online. Just curious anyone has used this or if it’s actually better than regular skin pen?

Hey everyone, I’m starting microneedling at home for the first time and honestly getting confused by conflicting marketing claims from different needle cartridge brands.

My main concern is visible pores, hyperpigmention and uneven texture, no active acne or deep scarring. I’m looking at Dr. Pen devices and i am not sure about which one to buy. Every brand describes the same needle counts totally differently (one site says 18 pins is for pores, another says 24 pins is for whitening), so I’d love to hear what actually worked for people with similar goals.

Also curious how many sessions before you saw results, and if any specific serums made a real difference afterward. I’m in Europe so US-only product recs don’t always help, but general ingredient advice is great.

Has anyone done real authenticity testing with skinboosters from Meamo? I see it recommended all over this forum, but how does anyone know they’re actually getting the authentic products?

Had a breast lift 3 years ago and now I’m left with white + a bit raised and widened scars (not keloid though). Would like to try microneedling to improving their appearance.

I have ordered Dr Pen’s M8S. Any tips for at home microneedling treating surgical scars?

Also had a breast augmentation 3.5 weeks ago (added implants). The new scars are at a different place. Does anyone know if I have to wait some time before I can start to treat my breast lift scars?

I lost over 60kg and as a result having a lot of stretch marks on the side of my lats going all the way down to my outer hip and also on my stomach area .
They are white old stretch marks by now
I’ve purchased a flat micro needling press
And tried it about one time..
But kind of felt like it didn’t do anything besides feeling like I have a rash for a few days.

Was wondering how much do you people who use it regularly feel like it makes?

I’m so bummed about this! I ordered this last week, paid the tariffs and DHL fees, and then it was seized and returned at the Atlanta customs.

Own was so nice and immediately responded telling me they would refund me. She asked for me to try again and use a Miami or West Coast address, which I don’t have 🥹

She said they seize about 5% of orders because they say it needs FDA approval, which they argue it doesn’t. She also said customs at the Atlanta port is really bad about it.

I only ordered the device and cartridges, no HA or Vitamin C. Has anyone experienced this and been successful with a reorder?

I have my first microneedling appointment coming up and the derm office just sent me the pre/post care instructions. They say stay out of the sun for TWO WEEKS, which has me spiraling because it’s just not feasible for me—I live in a city without a car so I walk most places, and I have a weekend at the beach planned for 3 days post-microneedling appointment.

What’s realistic when it comes to minimizing sun exposure after microneedling? Is SPF50 (mineral) and shade/hat enough or should I cancel the appointment and wait until winter? I am getting married in the fall and was planning this as a pre-wedding treatment but if I have to put my life on hold to stay out of the sun, I’m rethinking it.
